History from Stockholm's Molly Nilsson was one of the more grossly unappreciated albums from last year. Arkansas native and University of Oklahoma student Johannah Walker posted her original song, "Oklahoma Strong", to YouTube yesterday. Walker dedicated the song to all the people of Moore. Washed Out returns, announcing the follow-up to his 2011 debut album Within and Without . Titled Paracosm , the sophomore effort will see the chillwave artist shifting the boundaries of the genre he helped define. Using more than 50 different instruments, along with numerous samples, he looks to create something new and refreshing. The first single is titled "It All Feels Right," although it doesn't have a release date. The album on the other hand will be released on August 13th. Haerts' previous single, 'Wings', was without doubt one of our favourite singles of last year and on it the group displayed 'a Haim-ish bop indebted to Fleetwood Mac, sunset drives and a delicious groove.' We love interesting projects. And DAVIDS, whose tunes dropped into our inbox today with a particularly engaging note, certainly seems like an interesting project. Hailing from Canada and going only by the name of DAVIDS, this is the product of a move back into his parent's house and features vocals from Mitch Bowden. As to who DAVIDS consists of - well, we're not too sure yet, but they drop their debut EP on 4th June. [Boards of Canada] After being dangled in front of cult-like fan's drooling chops for months, Boards of Canada have given us the first proper taste of their forthcoming album,  "Tomorrow's Harvest".  This preview is in the form of a youtube video; the ambient single  "Reach for the Dead",  set to a beautiful video -directed by Neil Krug - that spans saturated landscapes and defunct structures. "Nothing to Give" is the result of a collaboration between Polish duo Rebeka (Iwona Skwarek and Bartosz Szczęsny) with Portuguese producer Mirror People (aka Rui Maia). The single is taken from their forthcoming EP "Nothing to Give" to be released via the Portuguese label D.I.S.C.O. Texas tomorrow, May 24. Even though this album came out two years ago, Atmosphere still manages to make an old tune sound new with some fresh new visuals. And by fresh I mean oddly bizarre yet thought-provoking at the same time. Loaded with symbolism that can be interpreted in seemingly a dozen different ways, the video for "Ain't Nobody" plays out like The Big Lebowski meets The Shining in some sort of drug-induced coma.
