I found this video online of the Beastie Boys doing their punk thing on The Scott & Gary show around 1984. The video is pretty much a horrible bunch of songs that will sound like their punk EP's they will put out later down the road. At least those where some what enjoyable. It's kind of interesting to see them starting the persona that would later be the theme for License To Ill. If you notice the drummer is Kate Schellenbach ( Lucious Jackson ). I will say that this is the greatest Christmas song, next to Murder City Devils 364 Days, and who would of thought that it would of came from Ministry's Al Jourgensen. The video below shows the introduction to the song by Al himself, known during Christmas as Buck Santa, where he has been urged by his wife to create a Christmas song. This is what you get. Clayton Brown was/is/has 1) Allen Epley's old college roommate, 2) the very first drummer in Shiner, 3) currently a film professor at Northwestern, 4) made all things video for TL&T. Add to his resume this gem for the track Old Souls from Tragic Boogie . The actor in the film/video is musician Jim Becker, who carries residences in Caliphone and Red Red Meat among others. Since the year is almost over I'm going to go ahead and proclaim "The Final Breaths of a Main Character" by The Woods as the best video of 2009. Oriana Lee is a friend of mine that has been one the most admirable and talented individuals I have ever come across with. She has been doing some amazing spoken word and writing over the years.
