Take me to the Balearic Islands, to the tickling feeling as you arise from sleep in the mornings. Urges one feels when slipping on some of Pandit's recordings. There is as much transcendence in the translucent environment in "Kathyrn, My Love" as there is complexity in its whimsical ambiance. Call it shoegaze, dream-pop, or what have you, but it's a visual and sensory spectacle nonetheless. I'm in love with Blithe Field ,the musical project of 19 year oldSpencer Radcliffe. His sound channels a unique blend of acoustic and electro music; glitchy at times with a hazy, distant vibe that's absolutely stunning. "Spectra" takes me back to late nights of 2007 listening to The Field's From Here We Go Sublime . I can see why Peter James, aka White Mountains, chose the New Hampshire mountain range as a source of inspiration. It serves as quite a backdrop to his flavorful ambient techno. As I sit here in an office under this terrible lighting, the music of White Mountains is a welcome escape to beauties of our planet.
