Another week is in the books and the weather has started to change here in Florida. Last night's Have Gun Will Travel was a rousing success and the rest of the weekend will be spent watching football. So let's get week in reviewing: October brings us another Feel Bad For You mixtape . I mentioned last night's Have Gun Will Travel CD Release party. Well, they stopped into the WMNF studios last week and performed the entire new cd live . If [...]
Another week, another week in review. Sorry for getting this up so late. It's been an awesomely busy weekend but now I am sitting on my butt watching the Buccaneers game so let's get to reviewing: Scott H. Biram's new album, Bad Ingredients , has come out. We may not have reviewed it yet but we did post the new video and recommend that you buy the cd . I officially named the Worst Song On Pop Country Radio . That's [...]
Well, another week is in the books and my Florida State Seminoles still haven't won a game against a Division 1A team. It's times like these that whiskey and music were made for. This is what happened on ninebullets.net this week: We found another Ninebullets Kickstarter Project of the month worthy project in Franz Nicolay's plight . Even if you don't contribute to his kickstarter you should visit it and read the FAQ. Glossary released another trailer for the new album, Long Live All Of Us [...]
This was a slow week here on ninebullets. The week opened with some hosting issues which prohibited us from posting anything until Tuesday afternoon and then we just never found our stride. That said, there were posts and this is where we recap them: There were videos! First we had Bingham Barnes doing his best Napoleon Dynamite impression and then we were treated to an interview with Two Cow Garage's Micah Schnabel . There were exclusives! Lizzie Huffman has a new 103 coming out and we [...]

Just talkin' about what they read and heard on Mixtape Muse Photo courtesy of Library of Congress' Flickr We all lead busy lives and, sometimes, we miss things. So, in case you missed some of the posts from last week here at Mixtape Muse, this'll catch you up. Below you'll find a list of everything that was posted for the week of May 16th to May 20th (Mixtape Muse typically doesn't post on the weekends). MONDAY [...]
Arjun S Ravi takes a look back at the week in Indian music, tracking November 20-26. Dear reader, to say this week has been exciting is as much an understatement as saying that RIO is only heavier than a bag full of spanners. First off, we announced our very own music festival - the Bacardi NH7 Weekender ! The three-day (December 10-12, mark your Palm Pilots or whatever it is you kids use these days) jaunt in Pune will feature some of the most exciting performing artists from India and around [...]
Arjun S Ravi takes a look back at the week in Indian music, tracking October 23-29. I feel terrible about missing The Great Indian Octoberfest in Bangalore. Our prolific lensman Prateek Biswas brought the festival to life in his vivid photo galleries (check out my favourite pic below) covering every day of the three-day festival ( Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 ). Featuring performances by, among others, Italian metal giants Lacuna Coil (who we interviewed at the fest, check out some great [...]
Arjun S Ravi takes a look back at the week in Indian music, tracking October 9-15. (Pics: Kunal Kakodkar ) We're through another packed week in music. People ask me whether there's enough going on in the scene to fill daily issues of Indiecision. We publish over 30 articles every week spread over five issues covering music from around the country and the world. That's by far the most comprehensive coverage of music by any Indian publication. But the fact of the matter is, we're not even scraping the surface yet. [...]

I fully moved into my new apartment in NYC, football season started, the hurricane that was, wasn't, and we all remembered September 11. A busy week, yes, but the blogging must go on. Because I say so. [Photo via ] Wednesday: [MP3] The Smooth Maria: "Abandoned Town" Thursday: [MP3] Arran Arctic: "Interrupt Me" Friday: [Abby's Road] Micol Cazzell Saturday: Knox Road's [...]

Jamie came back with a vengeance! Happy times for Knox Road. Jon went back to school, I'm heading to NYC. Where will our lives take us next? No idea. But if you check out what you may have missed this week... ...yeah, completely unrelated. To sum up the week, unscramble these letters: SUFJNA. Monday: [ MP3] Eagle Winged Palace: "Movin' On To Avalon" Tuesday: [MP3] Kurran and the Wolfnotes: "Your Four Limbs" MGMT's video for [...]

Two sad-face days this week? Step up your game Knox Road! Guys, I know I've been promising increased, back-to-normal postage soon, and that WILL happen. But for now you gotta ride the wave with us and be happy with, on average, a post a day. On those days we don't post, get your fix at Crying While Eating . Monday: Tuesday: [MP3s] Lucy Schwartz: "Rain City" + "Graveyard" Wednesday: [Stream] [...]

Trying to get things back in order here lately as we're all up to no good outside the blog. (Like, um, moving, looking for jobs, getting sick, and lots of other crazy party animal type shenanigans!) Thanks for sticking around, hopefully you caught some enjoyable music this week while finally cooling off with the weather (that's basically only related to the Northeast U.S., but maybe things have been good for you too??). This past week was Siren-tastic here at Knox Road, and for good reason: it ruled. Siren, that is. We rule, too, but try to not make as big of a deal about it. But we understand if you were too busy to check out the blog this week; after all, you might have been preparing the past few days for Shark Week on Discovery Channel, which kicks off today! The picture above is the channel's HQ in Silver Spring, Md. I don't know how a shark ended up stuck in the building, but hey, they're some intense animals. [...]

It was a short week for the whole crew here at Knox Road as we prepped our Siren coverage with some unanticipated delays. You should see us return to form in the coming days, and hopefully you've enjoyed your past week regardless - we know how important Knox Road is to you! ... Right. Anyway, as long as your week wasn't filled with pigeon shit ( ahem, Kings of Leon ), you should have had a good (decent?) one. Tuesday: We'll be right with you Wednesday: [...]

I'll be brief because you'll soon be getting a slew of writing and photos from us from The Siren Festival. What you may have missed below. Did you enjoy your short week? We sure did! The heat stayed around but our whining ceased (well, mostly). You may have missed Knox Road this week due to, oh I dunno, taking too many xanax to deal with Bron Bron's DECISION. Or you were arguing about how Friday Night Lights didn't get enough Emmy nominations and So You Think You Can Dance was totally snubbed - but it's okay because Mad Men is everywhere. OR you've been working on a true life "get out of jail" card for Lindsay Lohan. Too much pop culture in one paragraph? NEVER. [...]

It was a slower week than usual on Knox Road with our busy (and HOT) summer schedules and all, but there are still plenty of gems to choose from, whether it's a Jon rant, some new mp3s, or an animated dog and wolf song (wtf Jon??). Also, expect us to ramp up the rants in the coming weeks. We got a lot on our minds. Happy short week! Monday: Tuesday: [Review] Wolf Parade gets so close on Expo 86 [...]
Well, it was a long week for sports. World Cup action, Tennis action (understatement), NBA draft action, NHL draft action. Lotsa stuff. OH, Jamie's gone. But only for a month! Unfortunately, he'll probably be missing the Siren Festival on Coney Island, which we still intend to cover as voraciously as last year (we're teaming up with an awesome photographer, Hilary J. Corts - check her stuff out here ). So while you wept over the World Cup, Jamie, or your rent-a-friend , here's what you missed this week on Knox Road. Monday: [...]

We all went to see Toy Story 3 this weekend right? We all cried out eyes out at the finish of yet another great childhood series? Wiped our tears beneath our 3-D glasses while lovingly clutching our Buzz Lightyear action figures? Well I didn't. Because I'm an adult and I don't have parents who will pay $20 or whatever a ticket costs these days. So instead I kept tabs on the world of music. Just for you. Just so when you got back from wrapping up a great, momentous chapter in your life you could see what you missed on [...]
