PMR Records is having quite the moment. With the massive success gathered recently by  Jessie Ware and, more recently,  Disclosure , it seems that all they touch turns to gold. Of course, it could be that what they're working with to start with is gold, but regardless, they're doing something right. Their latest signing is the somewhat mysterious  Dornik , who emerged last week to much fanfare. He is apparently Dornik Leigh, former drummer in Jessie Ware's touring band, though he occasionally got a bit of the spotlight . [...]

The Weeknd's Abel Tesfaye is finally readying the release of his debut album proper, after the mixtape sagas of 2011 and 2012. 'Kiss Land' - the title track from it - is the first glimpse we've been given. A sprawling, eight-minute epic, it is a fascinating listen complete with twists and turns, odd samples and of course, Tesfaye's mesmerising croon. Amazingly, earlier this year The Weeknd announced an arena tour of the UK, a bold move for such a new artist but it pretty much encapsulates the confidence that drips throughout his work. The Weeknd has a new album titled Kiss Land on the way later in the year. He just released a new song from the album. It's also titled "Kiss Land" and sits at 8-minutes, almost like his attempt at a "Pyramids." It's almost split up into a 2-part epic, taking a turn at the 2nd half. Lots of cool sounds and parts of them, even if they lyrics made me cringe a few times. Take a listen below.

The first track from The Weeknd's bizarrely named Kiss Land is the title track, a 7-minute-2-parter-style thing, similar to tracks he's done before. The first half isn't all that, but the second is much more promising, having more of the wailing sex-flow and smooth production that we've grown to love:

The man riding the crest of the hipster r'n'b wave  THE WEEKND aka  Abel Tesfaye  has just released a new track titled 'Gifted' which sees him team up with heavyweight rapper FRENCH MONTANA . From the look of this YouTube upload it seems as though an official video is on it's way however for now we'll just have to make do with the straight audio. Tesfaye  recently announced that he would follow up his mammoth three-part debut record 'Trilogy' with a new LP called 'Kissland', as yet however no release date [...]

Not much is left to say about Colin Stetson , but if you haven't gotten caught up yet, here's a brief rundown: Colin Stetson is a musician on a whole new level for musicians. Nice little surprise from Juicy J a few hours ago when he released another new track called "One of Those Nights" featuring Toronto's crooner The Weeknd. The two find themselves on a crisp beat that is both celebratory and dark, but a solid blend of both. This song will be on Juicy 's upcoming album, Stay Trippy , which is shaping up to be some of his best material yet. Plus, I'm liking that cover art for this single. Stream it below. Fresh? [...]

Having stopped by Jools Holland on Tuesday night, it would have been rude for Abel Tesfaye not to stop in on long-time fan Zane Lowe. Last night the ever enthusiastic Kiwi aired The Weeknd's debut Maida Vale session, which was every bit as jaw-dropping as his appearance on Jools. Tesfaye and his group played four songs from the reissued Trilogy, a collection of his three debut mixtapes. Listen to all four tracks below. Trilogy is out now.

The Weeknd drop their trio of reissued mixtapes very soon, so it's only fitting that we finally hear one of the few new tracks that will accompany the old tracks. 'Twenty Eight' is a welcome addition to Abel Tesfaye's aresenal, adopting more of a straight up RnB tone than the slowest-of-the slow-jams that he became well for. Lets not carried away thought, this is hardly 180bpm punk. Things still swing by in a relaxed, casual manner and Tesfaye's falsetto croon is still as wonderful as ever.
