Lux Lisbon has instantly become a favorite of mine. Their music speaks for itself, thanks to the band's memorable sound and excellent songwriting. The video for their single, " Get Some Scars ", is extremely quirky. Inspired by a nice sized helping of Wes Anderson films and artwork by Nathan Vernau , the band has an art style that is completely unique, making for an entertaining watch. The third annual Bad Dads art show at Spoke Art Gallery will pay tribute to films by the famed director, screenwriter, actor and producer Wes Anderson with over 75 paintings, prints, sculptures by talented artists. I believe Walk the Moon ’s video for their beyond infectious “Tightrope” is deeply inspired by the immense musicals taken place in Wes Anderson’s Rushmore + Moonrise Kingdom . Just impossible not to love their always entertaining and hil arious music videos. Watch and enjoy creativity at it’s theatrical finest.  I don’t know if I like this version or the ridiculously fun  hotel party one more.

Wes Anderson films often feature characters with unusual or even destructive obsessions. So it's fitting that this video for Italian band I Cani explores an unhealthy obsession with Wes Anderson films (something that I myself share). It's a funny, fast-paced clip that fits in more cussin' references to Wes Anderson films (yes, even Moonrise Kingdom ) than an Latin-quoting, tennis-playing unpaid intern with a glock.
