James Murphy isn't losing his edge, he's losing money - a reported $93,899 - by way of his absent business partner and DFA Records co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, who was compensated for unperformed work. Last month, the Queens rapper Meyhem Lauren released his thundering, funny-as-hell Mandatory Brunch Meetings mixtape, and I liked it a lot. Pitchfork did not agree.
