Portland home-recording type Casey Dienel has carved out a niche for herself making evocative, elliptical music as White Hinterland. This makes her basically the opposite of Katy Perry, whose " Teenage Dream " is the sort of anthemic big-pop yowler that you can get stuck in your head just by reading the title.
