"And though it's hard for me to say, I know you're better off this way Get away, get away".
In perhaps one of the most necessary and welcome shifts in style, The Horrors metamorphosed from sloppy, obnoxious Cramps devotees to fuzzy, ethereal rockers in the vein of My Bloody Valentine and Lush. Primary Colours, the UK band's latest offering, finds them completely reinventing themselves in this fashion, both a successful and impressive feat. I am extremely grateful for this change in approach, as I found the band's original style both tiresome and annoying. I can't seem to get enough of The Horrors' new sound, complete with sweeping guitar effects, more muddy production, and [...]

It's been a while, but The Horrors are finally back. On may 4, their second album 'Primary Colours' was released and I must say it is a beauty. The first single is called Sea within a sea and last 8 minutes! I was very surprised they had left the 2 or 3 minute songs behind and went to walk upon a whole other path. You can listen (for free!) to the album on their website. What I remember most from their first album 'Strange House' is the loud [...]

Pull up a chair, because you should really spend the next 12 minutes or so, watching these two new videos by The Horrors . You could say they look and/or sound like a multitude of artists, because they definitely have their influences up front and center - Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Brian Eno, to name a few. But the new sophomore LP Primary Colours is a jaw-dropping opus of an album, that will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the year's best. Shoegazer anthem rock with perfect splashes of Eno-esque synth drama. [...]

We are all excited with the full release of the album In Primary Colours by The Horrors which is due 4th May but here comes another video off their new album. It is a video of their track "Who Can Say" and features the band's shoegazing/post punk rock in an empty auditorium. We are fortunate enough to have already heard the album in its entirety and we have to say it it brilliant, bar their emo haircuts. Wonderful sounds and terrific tracks make for essential listening but watch the [...]
Everybody that knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of those psychobilly fiends, The Horrors . When I got up this morning and saw that a new video had been released for a track called Who Can Say , I was prepping myself for some true madness. However, it seems to me as if these guys have taken some tranquilizers, joined a tribute band to The Strokes , and attempted to cover a song by The Horrors. The above isn't necessarily a bad thing as the more melodic direction will help them gain [...]
