So we typically toss a video onto a post when highlighting a new band or a show preview or something and let you draw your own conclusion about it. Sometimes we throw a change-up... strike that - let's call it a round up. Most of these videos are of bands we have previously talked about here on Draw Us Lines, so we won't be telling you much about those bands themselves, just some musings that really aren't worth a damn. If a picture is worth 1000 words, then a video must be worth a million. Hold on to your hats! [...]

Facebook / emilyandthewoods.com For no reason other than a lack of hours in the day I've not mentioned Emily and The Woods since she melted my heart at Glastonbury last June. Her second EP 'Eye to Eye' was released in the middle of last year and its four tracks will soften even the hardest of souls, Emily's acoustic folk songs can be simply surmised as from the heavens. With her soft, beautiful voice, introspective lyrics and delicately delivered instrumentation it's almost impossible not to fall in love with her and [...]
Tweet vaso link From their album Sun and Shade , here is Woods' with the video for "Any Other Day."
Lançado em junho do ano passado, o disco Sun and Shade , do Woods , ainda dá frutos: Any Other Day acaba de ganhar clipe, com estreia pelo site Pitchfork . Produzido pelo EyeBodega, o clipe traz desenhos feitos pelo vocalista da banda, Jeremy Earl , muitas cores e uma edição com cortes rápidos, o que pode causar uma bela tontura para o espectador do trabalho.

We're starting the week with something insanely beautiful. When compiling the Breaking More Waves Ones to Watch for 2012 , in order to provide comparison to the BBC Sound Of and Blog Sound Of 2012 longlists we limited the number of artists chosen to 15. Amongst those that just missed out from our list was the seraphic Emily & The Woods . [...]

There's lo-fi, and then there's lo-lo-fi. The Babies are bottom-of-the-well-fi, combined with buried-in-the-grass-tech. In other words, their Cry Along with the Babies EP sounds rather like the experiments my ex and I did in our attic, in the '90s – you could hear some great song ideas; and it felt real, and sincere. Occasionally we hit sonic pay dirt, but we were unpredictable; inconsistent. On the other hand, we didn't finish the first track on our demo with a major-to-minor guitar stroke (one of the Beatles' early signatures). I don't know if [...]

Brooklyn-based lo-fi rockers Woods have let loose the visuals for their track "Any Other Day" from their sixth album Sun and Shade , which was released in June of last year. The video itself is all kinds of trippy, with psychedelic colours and shapes abound. A word of warning, if you are epileptic please do not watch this video, but, if you aren't, brace yourself for a mindblowing visual journey.

✌ WOODS - Any Other Day ✌ from EyeBodega on Vimeo .

Woods have premiered the official music video for their track " Any Other Day ". The cut comes from the indie group's sixth studio album , Sun & Shade , which dropped last summer via Woodist Records. You can view the animated, psychedelic, EyeBodega & Jeremy Earl-directed visual below.

Brooklyn lo-fi folkers Woods have unveiled the psychedelic, seizure-inducing music video for "Any Other Day". Fair warning, however: Expect a blast of strange colors and geometric figures to dart across your screen all nimbly-bimbly, suggesting that this trip has gone awry. What are you waiting for? The journey through your own self-conscious starts below. Woods' latest album, Sun and Shade , is out now via Woodsist.

The fairly new trio gives us six new tracks next week, one of which you can hear now.

The Babies - the atmospheric, bedroom-folk side-project of Vivian Girls frontwoman Cassie Ramone, Woods bassist Kevin Morby, and Bossy drummer Justin Sullivan - follow up last February's self-titled full length with a new 12-inch entitled Cry Along With the Babies . "Trouble" is the release's first single, and you can stream it below. Cry Along With the Babies is out January 10th via New Images, according to label founder and Matt Mondanile (of Real Estate and Ducktails fame.)

Tweet I was pleasantly surprised when I recently heard the music of New York based band Woods for the first time. Surprised and, I have to say, a little alarmed that it took me this long to discover them. I often think that everything worth hearing will at some point roll my way from the wide and wonderful world of the internet, but somehow I happened to hear this band for the first time by seeing them live this week. Funny that what used [...]
