Daran gemessen, dass sie zu meiner Lieblings-Popgruppe geworden sind, habe ich Saint Etienne ja viel zu spät zu hören begonnen. Andererseits war 2009 ein denkbar guter Zeitpunkt, verschaffte doch die Best-Of London Conversations gleich einen erschlagend guten Überblick, wurde ihr Einfluss auf aktuellen Schwedenpop überdeutlich und brachte Richard X ihr Debüt als Foxbase Beta aufgefrischt ins neue Jahrhundert.
