Yes, yes I know I'm late with this. In my defense (and if you ask my family), I'm almost late with everything. If you know Chuck Inglish then you know each and every one of these beats are crazy. If you don't know Chuck Inglish, I advise you to join the rest of the world and stop being a social outcast. There's a bill in congress right now to ban social outcasts. Don't be the poster child. 2 Bears are a London based duo who formed in 2009. The duo are comprised of Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), and Raf Rundell. Their debut album 'Be Strong' was just released a week ago, and the hit single 'Work' has a pretty cool video that is worth checking out below. Their sound has been categorized as "Rave-Garage", Liquid-Bmore-House-Step" and "Pop-Hip-House" by critics.

St Etiene presents a chilled out interpretation of the popular 2 Bears track 'Work'. With a light clap and some gentle cowbells and non evasive percussion, this song will get you through your work day and kind of motivate you with the overall story that it is being told in the song! It's funny because this song is stripped back and the first version of the track to date in which you can properly listen to the lyrics and understand them! I find my ears being drawn to the instruments in all other interpretations. [...]

I recently completed a new site for Kate Howe using the Isotope jQuery Plugin. Sort the projects to see it in action.

The 2 Bears are made up of one half Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and one half Raf Rundell (Greco-Roman Soundsystem) and combined they make Indie-Electro House. We first came across them with their debut EP 'Follow the Bears' in 2010 and have since been hooked into their playful melodies and stomping beats. Earlier this year their ' Bear Hug ' track exploded into the public consciousness and with the latest single ' Work ' having a similar affect we decided to pop down to their neck of the woods and ask a few questions about them [...]

By Bruce Rave It might be awhile before we get a new Hot Chip album, but The 2 Bears might not be a bad way to hold on. This is a collaboration between Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and M. Rafi of Metronomy. A couple of listens, and I'm hooked on the hooks. Trusted sources are telling me the entire album is really good, and I wanna hear it! The 2 Bears - Work [...]

The 2 Bears will be releasing their debut album at the end of the month, called 'Be Strong' it's seeing a simultaneous release in the UK and US via Sounthern Fried and DFA, which is a pleasant rarity these days. The 2 Bear's are Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy - and have taken the house world by storm with their unique blend eccentric and eclectic house music with a string of well-recieved festival shows and EP's throughout 2011. Their new EP is out now with remixes from Toddla T, Oliver $, Supabeatz and Franky Rizardo [...]
Download: Chuck Inglish- WRKING. Once I heard this existed, I jumped on the chance to grab it! If you're unfamiliar with Chuck Inglish, he's the production mastermind behind Chicago hip hop outfit the Cool Kids. Yeah, I haven't liked everything the duo has released , but I always visit a new release from them because Chuck's beats are usually so heavy and consistently good. So, of course what I'm excited about is a 20-track instrumental beat tape from Chuck, which he's released for free. Follow the link [...]

After one of our writers posted 1,2,32s "Riding Coach" back in February I went on a personal manhunt to find anything and everything I could about this band, buying each of their vinyls and writing to them asking them for more music. If you've followed this site for most of the year you'll know I'm a [...]
The video for "Work" by the 2 Bears (the project of Raf Rundell and Hot Chip's Joe Goddard) takes the song's theme pretty literally.

been getting much love on the fancy . get yours here again.

So who'd have thought it would be so much work to tour and book new gigs at once? I need an intern - badly! (please email me if you want to apply ) So anyway, there's several ways of finding new gigs and I really like the house concert setting as people are really there to listen to your music, and so I thought I should be part of Slowbizz.com which is a global house concert network. But to be accepted I need the support of 100 of my fans. So I'm reaching out to you [...]
One-half of the 2 Bears is Joe Goddard, who is one-fifth of Hot Chip, a band I have missed throughout 2011. But Goddard's sideproject has made me yearn a little less. Raf Daddy – aka Raphael Rundell - is the other Bear, and above is the video for 'Work', a [Read more]

Undeniably the best looking woman in electronic music, Nina Kraviz, has announced her self titled debut album is set for release on Radioslaves well renowned Rekids imprint. Muscovite Kraviz has risen swiftly to the top of many peoples' 'favourite producer' pile in the last two years. It's her simple but infectious take on deep house and techno which has seen the starlet release on connoisseur labels like Underground Quality, Cocoon, BPitch and, of course, Rekids. Tracks like 'Pain In The Ass' and 'I'm Week' became instant classics upon release; their long grooves, sensuous touch and deeply emotive atmospheres [...]

"Grandma was a blues head. All day, she'd listen to the likes of B.B. King, Johnnie Taylor, and Aretha Franklin. Roaming around cleaning, cooking, and humming, she'd only stop briefly to switch 45s to the next iconic vinyl - those giants I still listen to today." "I really didn't understand the notion of that music thing. To me, it was just noise in the background that kept me from hearing the conversations between Grandma and - well, anyone she was talking to. But I was fascinated by the little shiny black circle thingies that produced such [...]
