What I like best about the new Workshop album, is the complete absence of a laugh track. Yes, I found the comedy rock outfit’s sophomore effort funny. There's nothing wrong with songs from the quieter side of the tracks - heck, you're reading a blog named after an Elliott Smith lyric after all - but there's still something thrilling about a band who make that change from subtle sensibilities to raucous rock gods. Mumbai humour/comedy metal act Workshop  have announced their sophomore studio album  Made Love To The Dragon. The band had revealed last year that they were working on their second album through their web series Stupidity In The Studio (more here ) but the band ' broke up ' in July 2011. APC and  Point Blank  teamed up for a workshop series we start with Ableton tips ‘n tricks here is part nine Following on from last week’s episode, this week Point Blank add the Macro controls that were missing from part one and also make the signal stereo on the Amp. This process is great for adding a raw Techno flavoured edge to your beats. If you are after a clean sound however it's probably best avoided!

Chennai's Swarnabhoomi Academy Of Music are organising a workshop with Jordan Rudess, keyboardist, and Prasanna, the president and founder of the academy, that will cover aspects of performance, business, education, and technology. Connecting The Dots, a two-day-long workshop that extends over October 18 and 19, will take place at the Academy. Everyone knows Sahil Makhija or at least everyone in the 'scene' knows Sahil Makhija. He has been playing with Demonic Resurrection for 12 years, Reptilian Death for 11 years, Workshop for four years and Hellwind very recently .
