For Record Store Day 2012 (April 21st), avant pop outfits Xiu Xiu and Dirty Beaches have joined forces for a split 73 single. Xiu Xiu contributes a cover of Erasure's 1994 hit "Always" , while Dirty Beaches take on "Tu Ne Dis Rien" by French cultural icon Françoise Hardy. Stream both tracks below (via Pitchfork ). Xiu Xiu and Dirty Beaches are releasing a split 7” on Polyvinyl for this year’s Record Store Day (April 21st). Both of their contributions – Xiu Xiu’s cover of Erasure’s 1994 hit “Always” that inspired the name to Xiu Xiu’s latest album and Dirty Beaches’ cover of Françoise Hardy's "Tu Ne Dis Rien" – are now available to hear.
