I must say, ScHoolboy Q and XV hooking up wasn't anything that I ever expected. The two rap from almost completely different worlds. That might be why Q sounds like he toned down his rebellion a little here. Don't let me obsession for him mislead you, XV did his thing on this one. XV has been working hard to maintain the buzz he's got so far and it's going to increase it with his newest mixtape, Popular Culture . XV takes us back in time to the pop culture aspects of his childhood all the way up to today. With track titles like, Aaahh! Real Monsters , which features Schoolboy Q or Breaking Bad , which features Raja , you can see the theme of this mixtape is all the way through. Go ahead and check the tape out, XV has brought another solid set of [...]
It's been well over a year since XV's latest release, the highly acclaimed mixtape Zero Heroes. We've all been waiting on that debut album release, but for now, another mixtape will have to do. It's all the same - his mixtapes might as well be official albums - the quality's always been there. The first thing I noticed was the lack of XV's second-hand man, producer Seven, on the entire project. Instead, he's opted with The Awesome Sound to handle the majority of the production. The beats are still on point, so it's all gold. The favorite so far has [...]
This just in. XV fires shots at Warner Bros. Records! Well, not really. They're only worth half a bar as he and Schoolboy Q get loose on "AaaHH! Real Monsters." [...]
Vizzy kills it as always! We've been following XV's music for quite a bit now (over two years at least) and he continues to be the most underrated MC in the hip-hop game. He is an incredibly talented individual and continues to make waves in the underground scene. However, hopefully Popular Culture helps bring him [...]

XV's been putting out some fresh stuff for a good few years now, and in my opinion still remains one of the most underrated MCs right now. This is his latest offering, a pretty thick mixtape sitting at 17 tracks deep with a host of features and different production credits, and it's probably his best
The Wichita rapper XV just released his newest mixtape Popular Culture to tide us over before he releases The Awesome EP coming out June 26th. I’ve always been down with XV's dynamic flow and strong hooks, but I think this mixtape cover takes the cake. Pre-order The Awesome EP here, and download / stream Popular Culture below!

XV has been one of the most underrated rappers for a while now since his emergence a couple years back, slipping under the radar and not being noticed by many as one of the more solid new actual rappers to continue creating. Being from Kansas doesn't help either. Yet, today we get a great mixtape titled Popular Culture in which V discusses many experiences in this industry over the years with features from Schoolboy Q, B.O.B, Emilo Rojas & more.

XV has kicked off the summer on some square shit. One of the most anticipated mixtapes, Vizzy delivers like a true squarian can only do. This is the evolution of XV. To gear up for the much anticipated release of XV's newest mixtape, Popular Culture, he decided to release two new tracks this week off of it. They are "AaaHH! Vizzy's let another cut loose from his upcoming Popular Culture mixtape. XV gives his own take on Warhol's quote, "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 (XV) minutes" and Dr. Dre understudy, Slim the Mobster, jumps aboard for the assist. The Awesome Sound-produced track has quotes from the 20th century icon and pop-art visionary throughout and has a much edgier feel than a lot of XV's past material. Check it out below XV: "Andy Warhol" ft. Slim the Mobster Thanks [...]

To ease the pain for the wait of his " Popular Culture " mixtape dropping next week, XV brings us another track off of the project featuring Slim The Mobster .

It's been a while since I've heard anything from Vizzy but apparently he's got a new tape on the way titled Popular Culture . "Be There, Be Square" is the first leak from the upcoming mixtape which is due out June 15th. The Wichita, KS native enlisted half of Chiddy Bang for the production and Xaphoon delivers a spacy beat. Check it out below XV: "Be There, Be Square" (Prod. Xaphoon Jones) props to 2DB
Wichita, Kansas rapper XV returns and better than ever. This time he introduces the world to "Be There, Be Square" which is produced by the renowned Xaphoon Jones of Chiddy Bang. This is off Vizzy's upcoming mixtape Popular Culture which is set to drop on June 15th. Once again Vizzy's rapping and Xaphoon Jones production are top-notch [...]
XV's been signed to Warner Bros. for over two years now - but continues to put out high quality, free mixtapes. Which is confusing as hell, because in my mind he could already have a full length debut album made up of the greatest tracks on his mixtapes. He must be really holding on to some gems that we don't know about...so we'll have to wait and see. To hold us over (again), he's dropping a brand new tape in two weeks called Popular Culture. "Be There, Be Square" is the first look at this upcoming project, produced by none [...]
