![[Coachella 2013] Watch Full Sets from The xx, Blur, Vampire Weekend and Earl Sweatshirt, Highlights from Many More](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4896128_lg.jpg)
The first weekend of Coachella flew by, and there were lots of memorable moments. Hell, R. Kelly joined Phoenix onstage in a surprise moment of the festival. Given the nature of the festival, with its well-established live streaming and eager fans with cameras in hand, it wasn't long before a decent amount of videos hit the web. After the jump, you can check out a whole swath of these uploaded videos, including full sets from The xx, Earl Sweatshirt, Blur and Vampire Weekend along with shorter clips from so many more. The joys of technology.
Coachella is quite a big deal all of a sudden. Since the 2Pac hologram last year its been all people have been talking about. Not only the best bands, producers and dj's of the year end up... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Set times for 20132s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival have been announced, and if you're like us at BBLA HQ, you're already mapping out a game plan for whom you want to see. The thing is, every year always presents some conflicts leaving you no choice but to choose one band over another. Conflicts in the desert may vary in degrees from person to person, but here are a few that are causing some hair-pulling ... Friday [...]

Coachella has announced their 2013 lineup, and it's a good one. There's a lot of classic acts making the stop to Indio, California this April. Both The Stone Roses and Blur are getting together, which is an incredible thing. Then you got Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lou Reed, New Order, Modest Mouse, The Postal Service, The xx, Sigur Ros, Jurassic 5, Grizzly Bear, Violent Femmes, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Wu-Tang Clan, Social Distotion, and Hot Chip. It doesn't stop there. You got Passion Pit, Beach House, Band Of Horses, Local Natives, [...]

Well, we can easily go out on a limb and say this has to be one of the most creative and interesting musical creations to come out in the last twelve months. And it comes courtesy of two Australian guys known as BLEEDING COLOURS . Oh, but this isn’t any kind of regular release. It’s a cover, but a cover that doesn’t really cover the original track. Rather, it pulls it apart and puts it back together in a completely different form. What the hell are we taking about? We’re talking about a [...]

Here is this week's music singles chart for the week ending August 19 - 25. So I had to make this #1 this week. It goes to Dirty Beaches. The single "Elizabeth's Theme" is taking from Vancouver's Kingfisher Bluez single-sided singles club. That won't come out until October. Check out this week's chart! Eliot Hazel It feels a bit anticlimactic to try and sit down and formally review Instinct , the debut album from Sweden's Niki & The Dove , and the reasons for this are many. Besides the fact that I've been talking about them since last August and already seen them twice at Iceland Airwaves and again at SXSW over the past year, there's the fact that though it's only formally out in North America this week, Instinct was released in Europe and the UK [...]

Stacey Hatfield As performing names go, Daughter certainly exists pretty far on the "not very" end of the Google-ability scale, but they're worth the effort. Originally a pseudonym for London's Elena Tonra, its scope eventually expanded to include guitarist Igor Haefeli and now, with drummer Remi Aguilella in the fold, represents the trio and is a proper band - one whose dark, quietly dramatic, atmospheric folk turned out to be one of the highlights of this year's SXSW . Considering that hot on the heels of their festival appearances came the word that [...]

Here is this week's music singles chart for the week ending August 12 - 18. It is still a few weeks left before summer is going to end. This week's #1 single goes to UK's The xx. Looks like there is high anticipation when Coexist drops on September 11, 2012. I prefer Chained more than Angels. There are four new debuts from Jens Lekman and Wild Nothing. Check it out! This Week Last Week [...]

Here is this week's music singles chart for the week ending August 5 - 11. After two weeks at #1, Stars gets bumped off by Ottawa's The White Wires. This past week the band just dropped their new album WWIII and why not make them this week's #1 spot. I love these two tracks by The White Wires. There is three new debuts. Check it out! This Week Last Week Total [...]

Frank Yang The arc around The xx's 2009 debut xx was a narratively perfect one, rich with mystery, sex, and drama as the London trio vaulted from obscurity to Mercury and, most prestigiously, a place on my year-end list . And perhaps most crucially for a perfect story, they ended. Or at least went away for a while. Real life differs from stories, however, in that it generally doesn't let you just ride off into the sunset, and so after some deserved downtime [...]

Here is this week's music singles chart for the week ending July 29 - August 4. There is no change in this week's #1. Stars is still #1 with that long title song from the upcoming album "The North" on ATO Records . There is a new debut from Crystal Castles. Everyone is going crazy on the new song. Check it out! This Week Last Week Total Weeks Artist [...]
