The xx released their sophomore album, Coexist , this past year and I must admit-I was a pretty bad fan. The only time I really listened to the LP was when I was trying to fall asleep and to this day I honestly can't really tell one song for another, aside from the first track. Anyways! "Sunset" is good. So, this is essentially a metaremix , as Jamie xx already produced the original version. I think he makes it better, doesn't overdo it...but that's not really his thing. (31) Days of Good: 12.7.12 Yesterday's good highlighted some of the year's best debuts, which makes today the perfect opportunity to highlight tracks from some of 20122s most impressive sophomore efforts.  I can only imagine how difficult it is to follow up a debut album, especially when the sophomore release is in high demand.  The bands below most definitely avoided the dreaded "sophomore slump", none better so than The xx.   Coexist was my most anticipated release of the year and it exceeding all of expectations.  Easily my favorite album of the year.  And like yesterday's good, the tracks below are a very small [...]

The xx apresenta “Chained” no programa de Jimmy Fallon Em semana de divulgação de Coexist nos Estados Unidos, o The xx esteve no programa de Jimmy Fallon ontem à noite. A banda que mudou a formar de encarar a música minimalista apresentou o single Chained . A performance ganhou delicadas modificações em relação à gravação original e impressionou pelo entrosamento entre  Romy , Oliver e Jamie  nesta fase da carreira. Os elementos eletrônicos se encaixam perfeitamente aos vocais da dupla não deixando dúvidas que são tão impressionantes ao vivo quanto em estúdio.
