We know yr probably done with "Angels" (we thought we were too) but we can't help but fall deeply in love with KOTKEE's beautiful 3 A.M. re-imagining (and we stress re-imagining, as we've never heard the oft-covered track quite like this) of The xx hit. KOTKEE - Angels (The XX Cover) KOTKEEE ( Facebook ) Rating 8.3

London Grammar are often hailed as ‘the new xx’. I can imagine why people compare London Grammar with The xx , but there are as many differences as similarities. It’s probably the production that reminds people of The xx in a certain way; the guitar- and bass play show similarity, especially in Wasting My Young Years . One of the main differences though is the kind of classical sound London Grammar breathes. Actually,it is this classical and velvet sound that distinguish London Grammar from all the [...]

The xx are one of the more influential bands from the UK in recent times and have taken their dream/pop sound to a different level than most. It's what makes their songs perfect for remixes, and the latest of "Hot Like Fire" fits right in. BeazyTymes remixed this and the 17 year old Chicago native added the right amount of chillwave and slight trap elements. It engages your ears from the beginning and does not let up. Stream below. British wave pop darlings THE XX report back with brand new material in the form of Together. The song is not from the group's criticly acclaimed 2012 sophomore album Coexist, but was written for Baz Luhrmann's forthcoming motion picture The Great Gatsby. Quite an epic movie with a spectacular soundtrack that also includes exclusive new The post The xx unveil new song "Together" appeared first on Nothing But Hope And Passion - NBHAP - Music Magazine & more .

Without no interruptions or random switch-arounds of verbal conversation, Bo Cendars steps away from his usual intake of Gillette-etched electronica and gives us a sneaky peak into his digital library likes - plus a future summertime terrace moment via two highly popular pop strands and one Hctor "El Bambino" genius power-play. Reeeeeeeeeewind!!!! EXTRA BONUS! Kendrick [...]
Similar to the complimenting dual lead vocals of Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim of The xx, the talented duo of Belgium's Float Fall (Rozanne [...]

Been awhile since I posted something from UK trio The xx , but here were are with their live cover of Kings of Tomorrow 's 2000 single, "Finally." They performed this yesterday at BBC Radio 1's show Live Lounge Late and absolutely nailed it. I love the groovy guitar line, chill beat, and the vocals that accompany it. I don't think there is anything these guys can't do. Stream below. Fresh? Tweet

A while back, we posted a remix of one of Kid Smpl 's tracks "What Kept Us." That was the first time I became acquainted with the artist and he has been on my musical radar ever since. Today, the Seattle based musician has decided to release a remix of his own, choosing to alter the XX's poignant track "Fiction." Smothering the vocals of the original, the listener will only be able to hear mumbles as Kid Smpl gently lays over his own assortment of echoing piano chords and atmospheric samples. Reminding me of productions from other producers such [...]

If you love music like we do, you might sometimes find yourself looking for new music but having a hard time finding it. No brilliant new releases or anything, especially not during the weekend, but this right here is the solution and I have written about it earlier: BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. At the BBC they still make quality radio and invite artists weekly, for the Live Lounge they let artists perform one of their own songs and one cover of the artists that were there last week. This can lead to great results as it did this [...]
![Best of 2012: Remixes [Top 12]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4692200_lg.jpg)
Last year was the first time that I did a "Best of" Remixes. So why not do it again this year. I am a sucker for songs being remixed and probably giving a bit of life to. You may agree or disagree on this list. Besides it might make you dance to it. So here it is my Top 12 Remixes of 2012. 1. Florence + The Machine - Spectrum (Say My Name) [Calvin Harris Remix] [...]
20. Here at Upside Sounds, we have been following Oxford for a while now. Having won the remix contest for Housse de Racket's song "Aquarium" earlier this year, he's arguably one of the most promising, nu-disco producer on the scene right now. If you still need to be convinced, look no further than his sensational remix of Goldroom's track "Fifteen!" The kid pulls out all the stops on this one, turning the original into something noticeably more funky and easier to dance to. Having added a potent concoction of synthesizer love to the mix while accompanying [...]

The xx , arguably my favorite band of all-time. I love their originals. I love remixes of their tunes. I love their live performances. I honestly love everything about them and I think all of you guys do too. To show my love for them, I've dedicated this post to their sensational bonus track titled "Reconsider" and have joined it with this amazing remix by Whomi of one of their classics "Crystalised." What I like to call an "XX Extravaganza," both these songs should remind you of why you love the XX so much and keep you forever [...]

Over the weekend we got a few new tracks and interesting remixes, and one that seemed to come out of nowhere as a surprise was from Jamie xx . The producer is a member of UK band The xx , but he decided to remix his own bands tune "Reconsider." The original of this was only a bonus track to the most recent album Coexist and hasn't been released otherwise, but maybe it will see the light of day at some point. For now, enjoy the remix below. After throwing a show with Goldroom this weekend and partaking in St. Louis' Halloween festivities, I have to admit...I'm freaking beat! On days like this, I usually try to keep my music selection more downtempo and this edit from Forrest , who is one half of Prince Club, is fitting my exhausted state quite well right now. Completely free for download, all of you guys should be relaxing to this track this Sunday!

This is what I like to call danceable soul pop. "Breaking" is the latest from London's Syron who might just be the next big thing. She was recently outed by iD magazine as one of 20122s coolest new female talents and the xx are totally down with her rhythmic waves. All this from a chick who just turned nineteen. ps - those earrings are mad boss. posted by @clarkbs
