In addition to Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine , we now get to hear The xx's new song contribution to the soundtrack for The Great Gatsby . It has some slick production and features a sleepy mood setting vibe, with cinematic strings and all. They pulled out all the stops for this one. We can expect to hear this during an important scene during the film's climax, one would think. Take a listen below.

The xx have rolled out their contribution to The Great Gatsby soundtrack, a dark, atmospheric number titled "Together." It's just what you might expect from the UK trio, but that has never been a bad thing. Stream it below. The soundtrack for the film will be released on May 7th, while the movie itself hits theatres on May 10th.
In addition to some questionable tracks on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, there are also some cuts that will apparently work perfectly outside of the film's aesthetic. One of those is absolutely the xx's "Together", a smoky track that sounds like it was lifted from their sessions for last year's Coexist . It wasn't, though, and actually serves as a brand-new track for the British trio, who sound as comfortable as ever here. You have to love Jamie xx's percussion on this one. I loved the intimate setting of The Tiny Desk Series to showcase acts such as Miguel and Alt-J . The xx are the latest band to stop by NPR to perform two songs for their own session.
