To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. 's passing, XXL magazine have slapped him on the cover of their latest issue. I remember the day I found out of the he-rapper's passing I was in school and a few of me peers were being expelled for smoking bongs in the toilets.

So XXL has revealed their top 50 candidates to be on their next freshmen issue for 2012. The list includes the likes of brandUn deShay, ScHoolboy Q, Macklemore, Smoke DZA, Hopsin, A$AP Rocky, XV and of course more. This year they're allowing all of us to vote. The web has been buzzing since XXL's 2012 Freshman Class list leaked. In all honesty there are probably 2 artists on this list that I can completely co-sign. Everyone else, I wouldn't know from a random act at an open mic night. This is just a leak and may be subject to change, but in the event that it doesn't.. who would be on your 2012 XXL Freshman list? Let us know in the comment box!

The LP is widely considered the pinacle of hip hop albums, with every up-and-coming artist still striving unsuccessfully to replicate the classic debut.
