Here's a great 13-minute documentary about 12 years of DFA Records , entitled "Too Old To Be New, Too New To Be Classic", courtesy of Red Bull Music Academy . Narrated by Marc Maron, it features music and interviews from DFA founders James Murphy and Jonathan Galkin, LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Holy Ghost!, The Juan MacLean, Shit Robot, YACHT and many more. Definitely worth a watch. Directed by Max Joseph.

Hints of Blondie, Benatar and Depeche Mode were a mainstay in the group's music. The thought that led to this short video was, basically, "Wouldn't it be nice to document bands' pre-show rituals?" This month marks the 10-year anniversary of YACHT , the wacky electropop outfit from Portland, Oregon. To celebrate the occasion, the band has recorded an awesome new track titled "Second Summer", which comes paired with an equally awesome animated video. YACHT has been a music-making entity for ten years this month, so they're celebrating with a new track, "Second Summer," and an accompanying, touchingly weird, sensory-overload animated video by the collective ADHD. It's a short song, clocking in a little under two minutes, but it gets the point across: Claire Evans sings "Can you stand by your man when shit hits the fan?" over a beat that's half club banger and half vaguely cinematic theme music. Early this morning we've shared Yacht 's new single "Second Summer" being released today via DFA Records. Here's the super cool video for this addictive tune. The movie is a result of a collaboration between Yacht and ADHD , which is a block of animation airing Saturday nights on FOX starting next year and all over the Internet right now.

Psychedelic Portland dance-party duo YACHT haven't announced plans for a new album, but they're giving us a new song and a new video anyway, to celebrate the fact that they've been an ongoing project for 10 years now (even if "they" where a "he" for a whole lot of those years). The new song is the streamlined, bumping "Second Summer," and it nicely illustrates the idea that YACHT are still continuing to get better.
