Young Turks have done it again, with their latest release coming from British legend Lewis Roberts, aka Koreless. In their 88th release to date, YT088 is marked by the producer's Yugen EP, which takes a different route on electronic music than his previous work. Rather than fleshing out the sound he established on early tracks like Up Down, Up DOwn and MTI, he's completely stripped it down to its essential elements. With drum work and percussion already taking a secondary role in his productions, this EP has almost entirely taken them away, leaving pretty much just emotive synth melodies and [...]

Koreless just released his new EP, and this is one of the stand out tracks. With a beautiful synth fluctuation throughout the whole introduction, the song spirals on to become something quite special. The lullaby element, unique to Koreless, is present throughout. I am in love with everything Koreless has been putting out recently. Definitely [...]

As promised, today was the release date for his 'Yugen' EP on Young Turks . 'Last Remnants' possesses tasteful melodies and the dreamy sound that entice my love for Koreless 's music. Give it a listen, check the previous single from the EP here , and purchase the vinyl or digital release here . KO [...]
[taken from Koreless ' Yugen EP, out today on Young Turks ]

El día de hoy salió Yugen , el EP debut del joven productor galés Koreless . Hace un par de semanas escuchamos "Sun", ahora aquí está "Last Remnants" otra fina prueba de la belleza del EP. Enjoy. ♩ Koreless - Last Remnants
Consonants are cool, and vowels are lame. Here are five artists who agree: 1. SBTRKT – Trials of the Past [ Young Turks ] Pronounced: "Subtract" Vowel-less and faceless, the masked producer has a knack for creating pop-friendly bass music that bridges the gap between the underground and mainstream. Arguably the most well-known producer without vowels on this list, SBTRKT just released a live album , out now. 2. DFRNT – The Way You Look At Me [...]

Koreless is another of these enigmatic producers who threaten big things before melting back to the sanctity of their studio for months on end. This is most likely a little frustrating for his agent as fees and volume of shows probably remain fairly plateaued. However it is becoming increasingly obvious that each time Koreless resurfaces for air it has been worth the wait, suggesting an artist who enjoys writing music above the other trappings often associated with increased musical notoriety. While he may not be consciously playing the long game his steady approach to output is ensuring a solid [...]

Usually I listen to Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1 show on and off. But when I heard this song that he played on Monday . I had to play it on Tuesday night since I was guest filling in for Mixtape Sessions on CHUO FM (Click the "On Demand"). When I heard this song by Twigs , I was so mesmerized with it's electronica, trip-hop and somewhat dubstep music with it's haunting vocals. It a cross between James Blake, The xx with the vocals [...]

Koreless has been bobbing around for a while, whether it's his own percussion-centred brand of minimalism, his thunder techno outing with Sampha or his adventurous remixes, but he's never actually released an EP; just two 123 vinyls. Still, that is all said to change very soon when he releases his debut EP for Young Turks . 'Yugen' will be the name of the new five track EP and, unusually for Koreless, it is almost entirely beatless. As a taster, he has been kind enough to share a track from the record, entitled [...]
After emerging in 2009 at age 18 with "Up Down Up Down," Welsh producer Koreless has only officially released three more tracks (albeit supplemented by a few remixes and a quick side-single as the duo ... read more

On May 20th, Koreless will release his 'Yugen' EP on Young Turks . He has produced some of the most lovely tunes of the last few years in my opinion, so I was hopeful for 'Sun'. It did not disappoint. Have a listen, and if you'd like, pre-order the 123 here . KO [...]
Un-fucking-real. I thought I had Lewis Roberts pegged once, the Koreless who wreathed his beats and blips in chopped-up vocals, layers of static, the splicer of sounds for beneath streetlights, the Koreless of 4D , of MTI , of Lost In Tokyo . I should've known. That How To Dress Well remix smashed up the template a treat, pitching Tom Krell low like Nina Simone and stripping Cold Nites of all its beats and drama. Only power left behind. Sun , lead track from forthcoming EP [...]

Here's a glowing, interstellar new track from Glasgow's Koreless , which apparently every DJ on the planet is opening their sets with these days. Makes sense. Taken from his expansive and beautiful new Yugen EP, out May 20 on Young Turks :

Koreless nos presenta “Sun” el primer track de su nuevo EP Yugen , que saldrá el próximo 20 de mayo con Young Turks. Es un track realmente elegante. Enjoy.

From it all starting "in a bedroom in South West London, after school, drinking too much Pepsi" to selling out shows internationally, it's fair to say that THE XX are damn hot property. They can now add to their heavy portfolio as their track 'Sunset' (from their latest record Coexist ) has been remixed by UK dance label Hot Creations co-owner, JAMIE JONES . The visuals of this YouTube upload feel as though we're looking at microscopic matter having a cheeky dance. Makes sense revealing the [...]
Intergalactic transmissions from past our solar system - Jamie Jones delivered a remix of The xx 's Sunset , fit for Hunter S. Thompson's most nightmarish trip. A groovy bassline starts us out until Jamie takes the track on a few left turns, all while maintaining a constant, danceable pace. People wonder where the term deep house comes from - this is a step past deep, dropping off the map on a tangential path of its own. Enough wax, the track was released on Beatport on April 1st (not a joke) and [...]
Jamie xx played a number of select shows during his trip to Miami for Winter Music Conference last month. Kicking off the weekend at the invite-only Red Bull Guest House, Jamie played for 90 minutes with Boiler Room streaming the entire set. The set has now been available to watch again from the good people at Boiler Room. The post Video: Jamie XX Boiler Room DJ Set at RBGuesthouse in Miami appeared first on Vibe To This .
The xx - Sunset (Jamie Jones Remix) Out now via Young Turks.

Stream Jamie XX and John Talabot’s b2b set from Miami last weekend “Last weekend, John Talabot swapped sunny Barcelona for the even sunnier shores of Miami to go back to back with Jamie XX on the decks for east London’s NTS radio show with Nic Tasker and Young Turks . Talabot’s debut album, ‘Fin’, finally released on cult label Permanent Vacation last year was crafted purely from his impressively extensive analogue synth collection, resulting in a beautifully warm and rich house LP. Whilst Jamie xx has [...]
