This is the final installment of "All The Bands We Loved Before", where I share with you Coachella "previews" by reminding you about bands we've already written about in blogs past. Weekend 1 of Coachella has concluded. Most acts could be seen live via streaming, and many more could be re-broadcast through Coachella's YouTube channel. This tool has been totally invaluable in helping us decide who to see when we venture out for weekend 2. One of the tough decisions is skipping Arctic Monkeys . Yep. And even though Mookie [...]

Our San Diego picks for the week* // Follow Owl and Bear on Facebook and Twitter for contests, MP3s, and links that don't make it onto the blog.
Note: Due to technical difficulties, photos of ALL these bands will come later. Is Indio becoming Seattle, and Coachella becoming Bumbershoot? Except, you know, without the umbrellas, because Coachella has a policy of not letting people bring umbrellas? Yesterday was a cold, rainy, miserable day, which after the hot temperatures of years past was actually one of the nicest ways I’ve experienced a day of Coachella. After wrangling with the surprisingly nice people at the Media Check-in, I showed up just shy of 1 p.m., where I discovered I had missed [...]

Who: Yuck at the Outdoor Theatre In 3 or Fewer Words: Not exactly gross. Forgettable because: Yuck not only followed a powerful set from the Dear Hunter, but their live set kind of got lost in the stiff headwind the quartet faced. For a band who offered one of the most catchiest shoegaze-influenced noise rock albums of 2011, this four-piece failed to translate their energy on record to the stage. The set featured the best bulk of their record but lead vocalist and guitarist Daniel Blumberg's stoicism came [...]
Here's a crunchy little number from Yuck called Chew , a song the band said it would play at Coachella today. Check it out here:

More of a track goldmine than just a single MP3. Spin media has generously given away this 17 track pack to compliment their upcoming Coachella favorites. This features some of the top producers that will be out in the sand the next two weekends. Event though some of these tracks are recently released or not at all, apparently they got the go ahead. Make sure to grab the DL and plug in your Ipod while sulking that your at work and not a the rave. Grab the Download Here

Right before their appearance at Coachella this weekend, Yuck dropped off a glorious new track called, “Chew”. The is the most shoegaze-influenced I have heard the band. Digging this so much.
Yuck returns with a new single “Chew” which they’ll be premiering live tomorrow at Coachella. They’re also playing a handful of other California dates next week, a couple with La Sera + one show... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

Just in time for Coachella, British alt-rockers Yuck debuted a new track this morning entitled "Chew." Nothing groundbreaking from the band, but still a great track.

Always a good day to get some new tunes from Yuck . Just saw this while trolling Twitter - so don't know any context, but it's a solid tune. They play Coachella coming up.
One year after a random meeting and a recommendation, Yuck makes their debut in the desert.

Yuck Play the Echo Wednesday and The Satellite on Thursday I caught Casey Veggies, Dom Kennedy and Freddie Gibbs at the Echo on Tuesday. Veggies has potential but just needs to keep working. The highlight for most was when Tyler from Odd Future jumped on stage for the final song. Dom Kennedy had a few tight tracks. Gibbs was good, but a little mumblecore. I think the completely inattentive crowd was throwing him off his shit. I thought indie rock crowds were kinda lame, but Tuesday's crowd was just awful... [...]
