Whoever heard of shoegaze where you can’t understand the vocals? Oh, wait. Self-Released, 2012 6.3 / 10.0 Parakeet is the trio of Yuck 's Mariko Doi and The History of Apple Pie 's James Thomas and Jon Jackson. Their background in indie rock leads [...]

Yuck rocked our faces off this past weekend at Coachella but we couldn't keep our eyes off bassist and Parakeet side project front woman Mariko Doi. The duo have released their 73 single ' Tomorrow ' and have also included a b-side 'Paper, Scissors, Stone which you can stream below. Anything Yuck related is a good thing, trust us. Parakeet - Paper, Scissors, Stone

Shoegaze grunge rockers Yuck who provided our best album of last year , have surfaced a new single 'Chew' for your listening pleasure and we're thrilled the collective are back. Not sure if a new project is in the works but this new tune will hold us off until then. Enjoy the track below. Yuck - Chew

Right before their appearance at Coachella this weekend, Yuck dropped off a glorious new track called, “Chew”. The is the most shoegaze-influenced I have heard the band. Digging this so much.
Eich! Yay! "You can be my destiny You can be that much for me" Hoje vou continuar com o passeio pelo rol das músicas que mais me entusiasmaram em 2011.

Tweet What the fuck, Franky B Rockafeller, if that is indeed my real name!? I've only gone and Introduced The History Of Apple Pie in one of those months that happen every year but in this case it happened in 2010 when it wasn't quite as hot as it was the month before and not as cold as the month following it . So I introduce them and then do you guys a disservice by not following up with them as [...]

Yuck. Yuck is what you get when you take two dudes from London band Cajun Dance Party, add your sister for supporting female vocals, and then throw in a Japanese female bassist and a drummer from New Jersey. Daniel Blumberg and Max Bloom, the aforementioned two dudes, met in Israel although both are from London. They connected over an Animal Collective t-shirt. They later found their drummer in Israel, as well, although at the time he was still a college student in New [...]

I’m noticing a common trend with all these lo-fi, ‘80s-‘90s revivalist bands – I absolutely love them all. This time it’s a London-based band called Yuck, a bunch of 20-something year-olds who have absolutely floored me with their sound. Apparently, the band members are already known for their ex-band, the heavily-pop influenced Cajun Dance Party. I guess I missed that memo, but I’m glad I

I've been watching London-based shoegaze indie-rockers Yuck for a while now. They have been releasing random singles and videos for the past year; all with bizarre cover art. Finally the day has come and they have released their debut full length self-titled album, complete with more strange art. Unlike the ugly artwork, the tracks are wonderfully crafted, filled with grungy distortion and airy vocals throughout. I don't think I'll buy into the hype of Yuck causing a 'revolutionary showgaze revival,' as some blogs and forums have put it, but I will state that this [...]

Click image to download full album Sounds like: The Shins, Tripping Daisy, Sonic Youth, The Walkmen "Yuck - Suck" What's so good? What’s in a name? Well in this case, it’s definitely not an implication of the packaged product. The band Yuck’s debut self-titled album is anything but yucky, so don’t be mislead. This album is quite the mood shifter, though. One minute you’re mellowing out with sounds not unlike The Shins (“Suicide Policeman”), and the [...]

scribed for This Is Fake DIY Oh, so now we know what happened to Cajun Dance Party . ‘The Colourful Life’ was a solid debut, one that displayed a young band with plenty of potential. They hadn’t found their feet, sure, but at their age they wouldn’t have been expected to have done that so soon. There was a plan to follow that one up with another album in the same year. This was 2008. My, doesn’t that seem like ages ago? The planned second album never happened, and they quietly [...]
