Hebronix is the new project of Daniel Blumberg, the former frontman of Yuck , who just recently announced his departure from the band. "Unreal" is his debut track as Hebronix, and also the title track of his debut album Unreal (July 9 via ATP Recordings ). It's a lush journey that would get the stamp of approval of 90s rock fans alike. The guitar work is tremendous and the mood is one that sits between slacker radio-rock and something more psychedelic. Pretty impressive stuff.

Yuck is short a lead singer but the world will soon be plus a Hebronix LP. Just a month after Daniel Blumberg announced his departure, the music-consuming public receives Hebronix's first-ever single, "Unreal." The LP will be of the same name and is due out July 9. Any band named after a common city, state, country, or geographic location universally sucked. Kansas sucked. Asia sucked. Boston, Chicago, and Europe all sucked. After taking 2011 by storm (at least in the world of Indiedom), Yuck returns with its newest material in the form of 'Chew.' Last night a brand new Yuck track was debuted on British Radio and moments later it hit the web, naturally. The UK band released their brilliant self-titled album last year and this is the first new material we've had from them in a while and it sounds very promising. Not that we thought it wouldn't! One of last year's best new bands, Yuck , is back with a new single. Yuck surprised everyone with a new song titled Chew , today. The track is very reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, or more recently The Pains of Being Pure of Heart with it layers of guitars and distortion. You can stream it below. Yuck are now streaming their cover of Happy End's 'Natsu Nandesu'. Happy End is one of Mariko's favorite bands, the track (which is included on the Japanese only edition of their debut, released last month on Pachinko Records) also sees Mariko sing lead vocals for the first time. Check out a fresh new Yuck track which appeared on the Japanese version of their debut album. Funnily enough this track is a cover of the Japanese band Happy End and their track "Natsu Nandesu". It's a different kind of vibe to their usual stuff as it's a female led vocal but hey, give it a spin. It's a welcome change for sure. Natsu Nandesu by Yuck
"Natsu Nandesu" is a bonus track off of the Japanese version of Yuck's debut record. The song, indeed in Japanese, is a cover Japan soft rockers Happy End , one of Yuck’s Mariko Doi favorite bands. It's also noteworthy that this track is the first time we get to hear a Yuck song led entirely by a female voice. It's a very nice change, one we hope will find its way on the band's LP #2.
