I keep on re-visiting this album so I thought it was worthy of a follow up post (the original being posted here ). Ive also been in love with the new Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) album, 'Replica', which is built partly using fragments of human speech and the sounds 'inbetween the sounds' in words and vocals. It seems to me that both Jarre and Lopatin have followed a similar trajectory in their synth-etic exterminations, at different points in time. 'Replica' is almost a modern take on the same idea. Zoo Look are a deep disco team consisting of a trio of Bournemouth's pestering, untamed locals. After hosting some tasty looking parties at the wonderfully named 60 Million Postcards pub, ZL released ' Holdin' On ', a blissfully crisp, Balearic simmerer, on Tenth Circle . Take time to check out ' Stab Game ', a recent release on Tusk Wax . Supoyb sounds. Zoo Look - Holdin' On - BUY pic courtesy of sophie van der perre

Zoo Look are a top trio from Bournemouth, and have recently been producing/releasing sumptuous sounds. This latest on Tusk Wax is a deluge of delights. Calm chords, spacey synths and gentle gurgles. Zoo Look - Stab Game | Buy

This is arguably the biggest release for This Is Music in their relatively short but successful career. Toby Tobias is sometimes a bit hit and miss for me but it seems as though he is hitting his stride for the year with this release. However it's not just the original track worth mentioning here. The remix package is absolutely stellar (and huge), featuring legends like Bicep, Lee Foss and Zoo Look. As well as the Narrow Road remix from Toby himself. The record drops 3rd October and it's totally worth getting around. The Bicep remix is [...]

Big congrats to the This Is Music crew as they reach their 10th release under the More Music imprint... Seen some truly stunning releases from these guys and this tenth instalment is no different. This release sees Toby Tobias dropping his Tomorrow's Bringing track along with remixes from Lee Foss, Bicep and Zoo Look. Vinyl is up for grabs on 3rd October.

I was lucky enough to come across a new label Tusk Wax last week and after hearing the samples from their debut vinyl only release, decided to pick up a copy. The record is bloody great! Not only is it packed with 4 fantastic tracks from the likes of Zoo Look , but its hand numbered and hand stamped. Alot of DIY love put into releases like this, really inspiring and makin me want to do something like this for ITDE more and more... one day. Check the samples below, [...]
Any true electronic music consumer will be aware of Jean Michel Jarre, synthesist master who produced the classic 'Oxygène' and 'Équinoxe' LPs, so there's no need for the usual backstory here. This track comes off his seventh album, Zoolook, released in back in 1984. Much of the music on the album is built up from singing and speech in 25 different languages, along with more traditional elements. This track starts off pretty dark and black, working its way up to some colourful synth-funk around the 3:25 mark. MP3: Jean Michel Jarre - [...]

My Panda Shall Fly - Sorry I Took So Long EP (Growing Records) by My Panda Shall Fly ♥ Having originally started as a 3 piece electronica band, these days this talented Panda flies solo - chartering a quest in the exploratory realms of acidic ambient dubstep and garage. Luckily for us, he'll be flying in to Glade this Sunday to play an one off set on the Pelski Gott Ice Cream Truck. Expect a fragmented post dubstep offering, that remains to be classified in an unclassifiable context - one could say it's a [...]
Jean-Michel Jarre is one of my all time heroes, a synthesizer king who has made some of the most epic music ever. In the mid-80's he got a little funky and experimental with emerging sampling technology resulting in 1984's 'Zoolook' album. This is the title track. Buy Jean-Michel Jarre's music from:

Would have fitted in nicely with our April Mini-Mix .
