HTML question
  • I wanted to add link buttons to my top banner and Adobe ImageReady was getting too complicated, so I just cut it up into individual jpegs. It looks great in IE but in firefox and safari there are fat black lines where i made the cuts. any ideas?

  • I don't see the lines you're talking about.  Where are they?

Also, are you sure you need images for that?  Couldn't you do it through CSS with styled list elements and links within lists?
  • I see the lines, though I have no answer...story of my life...i like it though - well done
  • my lazy approach. Just print it using big fonts and be done with it. (or make button out of "background") that's how I do it on mine.  too lazy making it from image.
  • Supposedly, there's a code you can add to a link to savefile that will tell elbows that the link is to an mp3.  If anyone out here knows it, I'd appreciate you telling me.  ekalett @ yahoo.com

    Thanks!

I'm not a web designer. I have no idea how to do that. If someone can explain how to use ImageReady to save an image (and not an HTML doc) that works for these purposes, that would suffice too.

  • well i just spent 15 minutes on it and couldn't figure it out. really strange.

not that it matters, but if i were doing it id take the words off the image and put a negative margin on the words to pull them onto and over the bottom of the header graphic (getting the same result).
  • huh. maybe i'll try that, thanks Taylor.
