  • I have an extra ticket for the Helio Sequence, the Builders and the Butchers, and Hearts of Palm UK tonight at Spaceland.  Indie Mom can't go.  Anybody want it?
  • The Builders & the Butchers are fucking brilliant.  If I had time, I'd fly there.
  • Good to know, Mr. Toad!
  • Last call before I get in the car.  Anybody want that ticket, meet me outside Spaceland about 8PM.

    I'm unmistakable--the oldest person there.
  • Can't make it. Thanks anyway Linda.
  • Well?  How was the show?  Did they play Spanish Death Song?  Black Dresses?  Bottom of the Lake?  Gah - I am so JEALOUS!
  • Oh, Toad -- The Builders and the Butchers were awesome!  They sang all of those and more.  Anybody getting their SXSW schedules ready, do NOT miss them.  They are freakin' amazing.  I have to find words to describe this. -- I mean, besides "freakin' amazing."

Note the megaphone in front, and the tambourine strapped to drummer's left leg.  (Also bald guy whose shiny head is in almost every photo.)  I met Ryan (singer) after the show, and he was just a doll.  He even said nice things about you, Matt!  LOL

    Very, very cool show altogether.
  • Nice things?  Obviously doesn't know me that well.  I am hugely jealous that you have seen them play, and yet delighted that they were brilliant.  I am going to Pickathon in August with my darling girl Mrs. Toad and although they aren't on the bill yet, I so wish they would play.  Otherwise I may have to stalk them.

Howdy, Stranger!
