working out your acceptance speech

    Along the lines of actors imagining or working on their acceptance speech years before they're even nominated, I've been imagining my 'I'm going to stop blogging' post. I find this a bit strange because I don't have any plans to stop blogging and I enjoy it.



    So the question is: what do you find yourself imagining be it realistic in the near term or not? Starting a record label? Quitting your blog? That epic post about mid 90s Chicago indie bands? Writing a book? Selling to buzznet?

    Starting a label has always been something I have wanted to do. Not likely in the next 18 months, but after that we shall see.

    I would love to write a book, write for a quality print magazine (like No Depression used to be), or be a music director for a tv show. But I don't think I have the ambition or time for any of it. At least with the blog I write when I have time and inspiration without having to answer to anyone. :)
