why didn't they just call it the "let's keep EMI in business for another decade" act.. i'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that the British Invasion is about to turn 50 yrs old, or that a certain insect-named rock band was about to see all its EU copyrights expire starting in a few years. :)

Yup. All about The Beatles and the other first generation rock stars. The good ones have enough money already. The rest should be lobbying thegovt for a better state pension. -
You know in 30 years, it'll be extended by another 50 years right?
