I'm not sure if this goes under band or blog promotion. Anyway, Mountain Stage is a radio concert series that is usually taped live here in WV, but next week they will be travelling to Glasgow, Scotland for a special concert featuring Mavis Staples, Joy Kills Sorrow, Mollie O'Brien & Rich Moore and Dougie McLean. The concert is affiliated with the Celtic Connections Festival and will be held at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.

The very friendly and blog-supportive producers of Mt Stage have asked me to help get the word out, particularly to anyone who can help promote the concert in Scotland and the UK. I can't put into words how much this show has meant to me for most of my life. My very first concert was a Mt Stage concert and it was also the first time I felt inspired to write about music (in my high school paper journal, which no one but me read:). They have introduced me to some great artists and the crew is made up of some of the nicest, most down to earth people you could ever meet.

I'd greatly appreciate if everyone, particularly those of you in Scotland and the UK, would post about the concert on your own blogs, podcasts, Twitters, Facebook, etc. You're welcome to link to my own post about it, but I don't care if you mention me or not.
