A hankering for non-music bloggering?
  • Just curious if anyone who wanders 'round these here parts takes an interest in bloggerin' about non-music related stuff? I tried my hand at some sports internetting a few years back, and have taken that up again along with an interest in some pop culture/entertainment posts as of late. Reckon I was curious if anyone here likes things other than... y'know... music.
  • eating sleeping sex... I am pretty basic.
  • I recently started writing about technology, start-ups and intellectual property over at TechFruit...
With some others, I'm also starting to edit broad-topic but UK focused digital newspaper The Descrier, which has been a long time coming but we're slowly getting there with licensing agreements.

There seriously aren't enough hours in the day to do all the projects I'm working on at the moment though...
  • I am just addicted to blogging so I have many blogs including a personal one that talks about everything.

and the occasional conspiracy theory, right?

There seriously aren't enough hours in the day to do all the projects I'm working on at the moment though...

    isn't that the truth?
  • In addition to music, I posted book and movie/dvd reviews on Muruch as well as the occasional tv show post.

The only non-music blogs I regularly read are book review blogs. My favorites are Reading Matters and The Asylum.

  • Sad to say that I keep things kinda lean as far as music blog readin goes these days - books are forever unfinished on my shelves and coffee table... I keep telling myself I'll get to them some day, but it's just not my preferred way of putting words into my brain. Maybe next week...

edit: @Muruch - how's the response been to non-music stuff on your site?
  • Chris - I get more feedback from offline friends on the book reviews than online readers, but the dvd reviews seem popular (well, as popular as anything is on my obscure, old lil site:). The music garners more attention, but it's nice to take a break to write about something else now and then.
