What comment systems does everyone recommend for Wordpress?

Facebook comments. Hands down. When people comment, goes to their FB feed and sends you more traffic.

The WP Connect plugin is quite good. Makes it rather easy to set up Facebook comments

@Jason - do you really see a lot of referral traffic from Facebook with the comments? Is there some way to test whether the traffic is from that or just general Facebook sharing?

It's hard to say exactly what's coming from where, but w/ ~20 comments a day, I have little doubt that there's traffic coming in. That basically means ~20 people are sharing to their feeds every day.
