NAYBLOG!
• A place for the quitters:

Noticed anyone stop music blogging?

Obtituaries here please.
• god I've been tempted...
• there was a rash of quitter about a year ago, including Uncommon Folk (and there was one called jesey something and turqoise something) but I haven't noticed any of late
• i almost did a few months back.
• uncommon folk was awesome though, it was a shame
• I was really sorry when Mystical Beast hung it up (Oct I think). That was the blog that got me thinking about starting one.
• I almost quit every few weeks or so.
• Last Night An Mp3 Saved My Life quit on their one year anniversary but then came back.

I make a conscious effort to try to fill the void left by Uncommon Folk but that blog was written by a better more literate person but I keep trying...

http://lastnightanmp3savedmywife.blogspot.com/
• I quit daily.
• South Of Mainstream was great...I wish she hadn't hung it up.
• I enjoyed Phonq for about 4 months. The template was standard blogger fare, but he covered the netlabel scene and used phrases like "retro analogueness". How cool is that? There are probably 600 more just like him.
• i almost wanted to a week ago, but i got encouraged to keep going.
• I was thinking about it. I sort of lost the drive a while back, but I definetly got it back.
I wish I could post more 'super mainstream' stuff without worrying about a C&D, but I'll live.
• Listen Closer and Mystical Beast for sure.
• i look like im quiting but i will be back in business on the thrd of june.
• I guess this is kind of turning into a "gone but not forgotten" thread...

I really loved Mangos and Mandolins during its short run. One of the few blogs that just about never let me down with song selection. ('Course that might have changed had he gone on longer...) An Order of Progress... was pretty great too.
• i'm glad you didn't shut your blog down, dave rawkblog, but i have to admit, the closing of a blog called "the rawking refuses to stop" would be a landmark moment for irony
• I think it's fair to say that everyone goes through periods where they just think "I can't be arsed to update this thing every freakin' day".
• i'm going through that period right now.

and i've been updating it non-stop since june of last year when the blog was started. i did it to keep going and then when i started posting regular MP3s, it just got so hectic from there. now i'm like "i need a fucking break!" - that or i need to buckle down and get a co-writer or two so that it can be updated every day, but that i'm not the one updating it multiple times a day.
• Try not posting over the weekend or take a regular day-off each week (or two). I think that's reasonable. I admire those of you who keep up the pace, it ain't easy. It's quite a commitment.
• i never run out of things to say, i only run out of things to talk about
• giving up the 7-days a week thing would be like admitting defeat, somehow, someway.

That said, I don't recommend anyone ever getting in the habit of going daily. Sometimes it sucks hard.
• 5x a week is plenty. I sometimes do the rare weekend update, but it's usually just for matter-of-fact type stuff like distro updates.
• I can't go a whole day without posting. What else do I have to do, anyway?
• Dodge, I enjoyed South of Mainstream too. And the end of the Mystical Beast somehow inspired me to start blogging.

Evan's Song of the Day recently ended (shortly after several folks here recommended it!)

Jukebox Upchuck is hopefully just on hiatus.

The Disassembly Line, an Aussie blog I used to enjoy reading, ended this year.
• Just remembered One Perfect Green Blanket. That was a great looking blog, well written and funny, too.
• Oh, and the Fire of Love!
• i'm about ready to quit over this DMCA thing. what. the. fuck.
• i'm glad you didn't shut your blog down, dave rawkblog, but i have to admit, the closing of a blog called "the rawking refuses to stop" would be a landmark moment for irony

yeah, word.

what made me want to quit was a couple of letters from labels asking me to take stuff down. bummed me out a lot.
• http://www.joonr.com shut down pretty recently, which is a pity, since that's one of the first blogs I ever discovered and made me think about making my own.
• I quit way to often...

having kids, owning a business, being in love with my wife and living a life all make it hard to keep post on a regular basis anymore...
• it's like a drug
• Guanoboy, how long have you been doing Grape Juice Plus? I remember reading it when I first started looking at blogs a couple years ago...
• I haven't posted on my blog for close to a month. But then, my computer broke so I had a good excuse. Plus, it's still got new posts every couple of days by Calum et al.
• som is dead. They were one of the better indie reviewer way back.

http://southofmainstream.com/
• i said that a week ago.
• Well I'm quitting Big Static. I'm going to give the moderater position to one of the other posters and I'm going to start again with a new blog. I'll post the url when I think it's worth your attention.
• Addie's gone AWOL again. I think she only made one post in June, and now Blogger says her blog "When Apes Rule the Earth" is Not Found. Does she post here anymore?
• The two brothers who write the mp3 blog Audio for Drinking decided to end their blog on their one year anniversary. A class move, but sad nonetheless.
• damnit - a few ending it - Summer Blues?
• Looks like Em P Me ended a couple weeks ago. It was a good blog.
http://www.lovehasnologic.com/empme/
• oh. Em P Me was good. hmmm.
• Invasion of the Reverb Snatchers (an Aussie mp3 blog) is "going into a coma".

http://reverbcity.blogspot.com/
• may not be official but no new music since may is not a good sign

http://camerondeyhle.blogspot.com/
• i haven't updated in two days. :(
• nayblog, indeed!
• More Cowbell? is it still around?

http://www.morecowbell.net/
• Kyle's getting married. I think he's busy.
• he's back from marriage. he posted tool dates recently.. he's back, slowly..
• What Would Jeebus Blog : http://whatwouldjb.blogspot.com/

I hope Jeebus returns, he was fun.
• oh, haven't looked at the jesus blog in ages. that was a really fun blog. sad that I forgot about it and now it's gone.
