One of the first blogs I ever read was a little one called PostPunkJunk. I think it was run by a guy in the LA-based band, Anavan. It's been gone for years now, though he does have a youtube channel by the same name where he will add videos from artists he used to feature on the blog.

Weird that Torontoist is shutting down considering it held by Gothamist and not a personal blog of any sort (I write for Chicagoist).
I just heard via twitter that fluokids is gone now too (it doesn't appear to be down at the url, though they haven't updated in a few days) -
Fluokids was updated today. It seems as though any death knolls there were premature.

dangit! no, I've not... not since Feb. 13 on the stumble emails and his twitter account is also gone... it says last updated march 8th but the page has been deleted. if anyone hears anything, will ya let me know?

A sad day for music blogs. :( After Fingertips, Everybody Cares was one of the first 100% legal music blogs I knew about, and it inspired me to change my own posting practices back in the day. Chad was another victim of Blogger's deletions, even though he only posts legal mp3s. Though I'm sure real life had some bearing on his decision to close, it seems obvious Blogger's attacks played a big part it in as well. -

Rawkblog. I had that happen a few months ago. It sucks. Good luck getting things all fixed. Be sure to change all passwords and update to the latest version of Wordpress, etc.
