    i'd like to disable hotlinking to files on my site from elsewhere in defense of my own bandwidth (i'm moving > 250gb a month right now) but i also don't want to fuck up your aggregators. is there a certain domain or ip address that i need to allow so i don't stop hype and elbo.ws from aggregating my site?

    Ryan - go ahead and turn it on. As long as you allow direct access to the files (no referrer) and access from your own pages (referrer with your URL) the Hype Machine should have no problems.

    do other YSI-esque sites work with you guys? i'm talking Sendspace primarily, I guess. just curious.

    Sendspace does a good job of not letting me get to the file. They use some tricky JavaScript. YouSendIt is better because I can sort of hack my way to the actual file.
