iTunes library damaged

    My computer crashed and when I restarted it said that my iTunes library was damaged. So now all my playlists, playcount info, ratings, date added, etc. info is gone for like 7000 songs. Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything to be done?

    There is a file called "iTunes Library (Damaged)" in my iTunes folder. Can I recover the information from that?

    Thanks for any help.

    huh, so it damaged everything but the actual music? thats sorta interesting.

    I just googled on "iTunes library damaged" and there appears to be a lot of hits on that. Hopefully, one of those will help.
