dogs and blogs
  • to better prevent other threads from hijack, I figure this a subject deserving its own place

I have 4 dogs, all rescues:

Samosa - big red golden retriever/possibly collie mix

Parker - self-blue merle border collie

    Cooper - little red-tri aussie

Roo - small blue merle aussie w/slight brain damage (she gets MRI'd at the end of the month to learn more)

I used to foster a bit, but the last BC that came through totally wrecked us, so we're keeping the number steady at 4. and really, that's more than enough.

    who's in your doggy household?

(cat people, I don't wanna hear a peep. git yr own thread.)

  • this is my brother's dog (a pure-bred beagle named delco - as in A.C. delco, the auto store) and he loves me more than my brother.

we don't live in the same house, but i'm within walking distance to visit. :)
  • I have an American Bulldog named Mildred....I dubbed her the editor in chief of my blog on my about page.

    Here is a picture

    Mildred

  • This is my English Bulldog.

His name is Czar, and he has a slight weight problem.

He got his name from a Frank Black song.

  • hell no, I'm not being sarcastic.  I'm all about cats.

    www.kittenwar.com = love

  • Burton, 10yrs, lab/border collie mix.

  • Holy shit MPacks, your dog is in a tree...

And thanks. My wife was a photo major back in the dark ages who basically never touches a camera anymore. But when she does she does great stuff. That shot was an early idea for last year's Xmas card.

  • I don't have a pic with all 4 in the same shot, but 75% ain't bad:

  • dude itsatrap, give me one of your dogs. please. preferably the red one, he's awesome.
  • Samosa (the big red dude) is available for rental, but the little guy is too shy

  • Itsatrap...so sorry to hear about Roo! That's heartbreaking, but I wish her the best in her final days, it's great you provided her with such a wonderful home.

All these pictures are curing me of my upcoming (yearly) December dread. Total cute overload material!

autopsy, your dog is so freaking cute!
  • My heartfelt condolences, itsatrap.  You must be devastated.

Sorry, had to throw my hat in.  Here's our Gina. Been with us ten years - a finer beast I could not ever hope to meet.

  • Er, just reread my comment & realized it could be interpreted to mean that Gina is no longer around.  She is, in fact, hearty and still very much with us, even if she's slowing down a bit...
  • good thing...she's a cutie. I can tell she has character.
  • okay i may be a cat person, but there is a dog that has a place in my heart...
