Playlist for Blog
  • I was wondering if anyone knew of any apps I could buy/download that would display a playlist of the music on my blog. Something like Grooveshark, except everything is hosted and sorted by me.

I've been getting a lot of requests for a way to play our music continuously.
  • How are you hosting your mp3s? All in a single folder on your webspace or using a file host like mediafire, dropbox, etc?
  • I dealt with this by building a custom MP3 player. I'm not sure if there's anything that good out there that's pre-built. You might want to look into Yahoo's player, which will continue playing all MP3s on the page. That way if your friends are on your homepage, they can keep listening the whole way through.
  • im hosting all the mp3's on my server (in one folder).

Something like what you built, Jason, would be ideal, but i'm not really up for that challenge yet. I just wanna give them what they want (but it's gotta be stylish ;) haha)
  • Streampad also works for what you're looking for, I think. http://www.streampad.com/

We use the Yahoo! player that Jason was discussing. I like the minimalistic feel. http://mediaplayer.yahoo.com/
  • If you're part of shuffler.fm you could just use one of their blog-widgets to stream music only from your site.
  • @tim - I've got links to shuffler where one can "play" tsururadio, but I don't see where I can embed shuffler widgets on my site. Got linkage, money?
  • @Tsuru - no, sorry - the links (with you as a demo) is what I meant.
Although maybe you could include that in an iframe...? Not something I plan to do, but there is a possibility I suppose. Or just ask Marcel @ Shuffler and he might offer something better.
