moving to a domain name
Based on my rudimentary knowledge of search-engines, if you want to keep your old site's ranking etc, I definitely wouldn't be NOINDEXing your pages, rather I'd be 301 redirecting each post/page to the new page. I'm not familiar w…

Does elbows update posts if I have updated my post?
That'd be a useful feature, even if it wasn't automatic it'd be nice if you could request a recrawl if something significant changes in a post.

How do you listen to music
At home: Songbird on my laptop. Not at home: Whatever shitty mp3 player I haven't broken yet. With New Zealand's broadband prices, I don't have the liberty of streaming music online (affordably anyway). I get up at 6.30 at set up my d…

@groovebat Aware this could be a bitch to implement, but a feature that would blow my mind would be the following: Some sort of automatic code generator that would provide (in html) an href'd download link and song embed (possibly using grooveba…

Easy to configure featured post slider or similar for Wordpress?
Thanks, finally got it configured (it's live on djsilkworm.com now), I tried in but uninstalled it at first thinking it wasn't working but I finally managed to track down a plugin conflict and it's going great :D

Adding automatic ID3 tags?
In my opinion a url is crude, I'd only ever have the name of the blog/post

@Quiche Mp3Tag. And yeah, hijacking the artist field would be in poor form, I always add DJ Silkworm to the comments, and sometimes if it's a post on a subject which I've put a wee bit of effort in to compile(6 Outstanding Dubstep Remixes …

And I can now confirm that they do get indexed (like any raw hotlinked mp3s), for your embeds or links just use http://groovebat.com/download/xxx.mp3 I also like how they track downloads and embedded plays, nice to see people actually listening and …

Cloudflare - improve website performance, security, and uptime - for free :O
I don't think it's a matter of comparison, I use both a caching plugin (Hyper Cache), and Cloudflare, and I reckon they both benefit the speed of my site, and certainly don't slow it down, so no reason not to use both.

Fair enough, like I said my site's tiny and on shitty shared hosting, so the difference was much more tangible for me. As far as @Ben's issues go (which I'm sorry to hear about after recommending CloudFlare :/ ) just thought I'…

Yeah, with my blog Twitter, I try to post extra stuff apart from just posts: tracks I'm digging at the moment, retweets of artists I post about on my blog, or whatever. Like Brandon said, if people want a stream of your posts, that's what R…

What I've found is that @mentioning artists (or labels or whatever) relevant to your posts in your tweets is a viable way to get re-tweets, I've got a couple of decent (for me) spikes by doing that. And unless you're absolutely sure…

How awesome are the mixes from the Top 50 songs in the Zeitgeist? Well okay, the two that I like are The Knocks' and The Glitch Mob's, but I absolutely love them and the concept is undeniably awesome (I dodn't know if they did somethin…

you vs. your blog: highlighting the person behind the posts
I definitely don't shy back from putting my own personal spin and experiences in my posts, but as far as an about me page goes, I feel that (and I might be overly concerned with image here) that by putting one up will inevitably end up showcasin…

It's a very cool concept you've got going there, browsing can now very be a flowing experience rather that just clicking around. I'm scared I'll find a song I really like and then get sucked in and lose a couple of hours :P Wha…

Heartbeat (Chase & Status Remix) A very good combination of hard and soft, I've had it on repeat for a while now. http://salacioussound.com/2010/08/win-free-tickets-to-nnenka-august-10th-2010-in-toronto/ to listen

Haha, mine's got way less, but I'd say it's longer :P, I've done the top four dubstep mixes of 2010, based on the poll I've had running, but as I'm going away over the holidays, I've scheduled it for Jan 4th. It…
