How long does it take for Elbows to approve your blog?
Puddlegum's feed still isn't being aggregated by Elbo.ws. Curious. http://Puddlegum.net feed://feeds.feedburner.com/puddlegumnet

I don't think Puddlegum's RSS feed is being aggregated by Elbo.ws. Last year we switch blog names/address.. but switched back. It was a dumbass move, I know. So I'm wondering if you could check to see if Puddlegum is added to Elbo.ws? …

I'll add that loosing the ability to hear above 18kHz isn't that detrimental. Anything above 18kHz is just a shimmer, or aural excitement... energy. It's on the threshold of human hearing... 20kHz being the highest most humans can hear…

State of blog 2008. Prediction 2009.
There's nothing wrong with a good retro throwback. I really dug the new Fleet Fox album. Course, I'm also equally interested in 50s - 70s music as I am in what's happening today. I'd say most of the indie scene is a throwback of s…

Not to mention that most people (the average consumer) have no clue about sound. They crank the bass and treble and turn the volume up, thinking it sounds great. They can't recognize headphones with a flat response. Most mastering and mix engin…

Eventually we'll toss our music in the clouds and stream it. Then wireless speeds will matter more. I prefer 320kbps. Mp3 is great because of versatility and usable on anything. But it is lossy. Then again, the stuff it tosses at 320kbps is abo…

Yeah, I've been using VBR for a while for stuff I was ripping. 128 or below sounds crystallized. I tend to visualize what I'm listening to and lower bit rates look blocky in my mind. Did that sound crazy?

Yeah, 192kbps is usually fine. For me it depends on whether I'm listening to the music on my computer speakers or using the headphones I use to record with. I can tell a major difference with more expensive setups. So is it better to rip/downlo…

I remember reading that Imeem had worked out deals with the major labels that allowed them to avoid lawsuits. If I remember right, Snocap wasn't as congenial.

Is it all semantics? Blogs that have a label... or a blog label? Are they the same? Or does it make a difference to run both under the same roof?

I understand why you wouldn't.. What attracts me to the Wordpress plugin is that it's automagic for my writers. I like automagical things when other people are involved. :)

Thanks Toad! We should bounce ideas off each other. Do you use Skype? How'd the recording/mixing go? If you need any input in that regard, I'd be glad to help.

It really is fast. I had switched to Safari since Firefox 2 was a little buggy on the Mac. But I think I'll use FF3. Seems light weight.

I wouldn't view guest blogging on someone's blog with ads as though you're making money for them (so what if you are). If anything, you're exposing your name and blog to a different audience. It's actually an effective way to…
