
The Buckingham/Nicks era Fleetwood Mac rank pretty high in the Proper Songs all time favourite bands list. Their 1987 album 'Tango In The Night' isn't usually regarded as one of their finest (see 'Fleetwood Mac'/'Rumours'/'Tusk' for the band at the height of their powers) but it contains some incredible singles such as 'Big Love', 'Little Lies' and 'Everywhere'. London producion/DJ duo Psychemagik have reedited 'Everywhere', giving it a cosmic bump that plays on its already Balearic friendly sound. So last night's gig was utterly amazing. Only one let down. They didn't sing Everywhere but that was to be expected in view of Christie McVie's absence. Nicks appropriately donned the Fleetwood famous top hat with a tambourine in hand and her golden locks still flowing along with her raspy voice while Buckingham effortlessly rocked out as he did 30-some years ago. Mick and John backed the two, and despite the show being vocally high jacked by Nicks and Buckingham, the two original band members reminded the audience that Fleetwood Mac is not two-man show. [...]
