A week from today, a dark cloud will settle over Portland. Two of the worst bands on the planet-and I say this as a fan of some truly terrible music-will pull into town and soil our precious city on both sides of the river. Lock up your kids and loved ones, it's gonna be a rough night. Brokencyde and Attack Attack! will both be playing separate shows in town on Monday the 17th. I didn't think any genre of music could set off my gag reflex more quickly than... whatever the Insane Clown Posse are, but congratulations, crunkcore! I'll be locked in the bathroom for at least a week. Take a sickening dose of screamo vocals, a 4-year-old banging on a synthesizer, a Vocoder, and an abundance of scantily-clad "scene girls" (see also: how to do scene hair ) and you've got crunkcore. Today's Viral Video Endurance Test comes via the "Albucrazy"-based band Brokencyde, whose video for "FreaXXX" has been causing many an out-of-the-demo Internet surfer to grasp their cheeks, Home Alone -style, in horror at what the mashup era hath wrought.
