Tinted Windows is an American rock supergroup formed by guitarist James Iha, previously of The Smashing Pumpkins and A Perfect Circle , singer Taylor Hanson of Hanson , bassist Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and Ivy , and Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick . Sharing a common love for power-pop, rock and New Wave of the late 70's and early 80's, the quartet decided to join forces and record an album that fused all of these influences with the more modern rock and pop sounds of their own groups.
