Mister Music Blog apologizes to all its readers for being away so long. Now, I'm back with a vengeance. So, what better way to say sorry than posting a bunch of really great new music. First up, a Killers and Lou Reed collaboration. I'm going to keep the chatter to a minimum and just post a lot of my newly discovered favorite music.

Well, at least the title is accurate. This song sounds like the soundtrack to the world's angriest nap. The song is taken from Sawdust , the Killers b-sides collection which is due out on Nov. 13th. (Jonathan Graef)

The video for "Tranquilize," the agita-inducing collaboration between the Killers and Lou Reed, doesn't even hew to the good kind of embarassing melodrama, or even the kind the band alienated half its fanbase with on Sam's Town , trading chest-thumping Meatloaf/Springsteen pomp for bargain basement bleakness. Candelabras, poor lighting, and a children's choir? And I still can't quite figure out what this moany malarkey reminds me of. "Toy Soldiers"? "Silent Lucidity"? The lesser work of Peter Gabriel? There's a bit of each in there, but none of them are quite right either. The [...]

Abbiamo già parlato più volte della nuova compilation dei The Killers "Sawdust" , in uscita britannica il prossimo 12 novembre, che si snoderà tra b-side, cover e un inedito, già uscito a metà ottobre, ma di cui solo alla vigilia dell'uscita dell'album possiamo vedere il video ufficiale. Il brano inedito si chiama "Tranquilize" ed è in collaborazione con Lou Reed , celeberrimo cantautore rock oggi 65enne. Il brano mescola sapientemente i due volti generazionali del rock USA e il prodotto che esce fuori è un'interessante fusione molto interessante e godibile. A voi il video.
