Miro, a new open-source internet TV application, is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Like Mozilla's Firefox, Miro is funded by a non profit organization (Participatory Culture foundation) and has received financial support from other organizations like Mozilla itself. The Guillemots , who made quite a splash with their debut album " Through the Windowpane ," will be performing live on television for lucky British viewers. They band are set to appear on Richard Branson's Virgin 1 digital TV channel on November 17 at 23.00. Their live performance titled "The Guillemots Live at The Astoria" will be the inaugural show in the new Virgin 1 Presents TV series.
