Unlike some other records I've been listening to for the past 24 hours however, I have no doubt that Lustful 97 will stand up to sober listening as it's perhaps the most adventurous and forward-thinking thing the young producer/rapper has released. Spaceghostpurrp unleashes another track from his vault today, an introspective piece that reveals a ton about this artist over the course of six-and-a-half minutes. While the song is certainly interesting, from the lyrics to the production, we still don't know exactly where this single will eventually land. Despite signing with 4AD recently, it seems SpaceGhostPurrp isn't going to stop releasing tracks via his Youtube account, as 'Lustful 97' proves. It's very different from his recent material in terms of his lyrical approach, which the title sort of gives away, though his laid-back, effortless execution is still evident.
