It looks like in the time that Lizzie took off for vocal surgery and rest, Land of Talk made a video for "Some Are Lakes." When are yellow slickers not cute? When combined with mime makeup.
A bit on the late tip, Montreal's Land of Talk have come through with this video for "Some Are Lakes," the standout track from that album of the same name. The Jose Garcia-Lozano-directed clip jumps all around the place, from the band performing in raincoats, then dressed as soldiers, to a whole host of unconnected images that only seem unified because they feel like appropriate accompaniment for the mournful, Indian Summer-filled track. Some Are Lakes is out now on Saddle Creek.
