Along with dates in the Eastern Pacific, Australia, the UK and Europe, and South America, the band has schedule a massive U.S. summer tour. That American band you can try to but can't escape from, Foster the People , release their next single, 'Call It What You Want', from their debut 'Torches' review here ), on the 5th of December. The new Foster The People video for their infectious track "Call It What You Want" is quite the visual spectacle. From Mark Pontius playing the drums in a tub (and in another scene while levitating), to what looks like Mark Foster singing with his head in a fishbowl, to Cubbie Fink covering himself in lipstick, it's clear the band is running with the title, and sending a big message. There's also the more controversial scene where Mark Foster shoots, with his hand, a bunch of screaming groupies. What do you call that? A metaphor [...]

Shooting-star pop-rockers Foster The People have released a bizarre, new video for their latest single "Call It What You Want."

Is it just me or does it seem like  Foster The People are trying to achieve an Marc Gomez Del Moral (best known for his videos for El Guincho and Battles )  aesthetic in their new video for "Call it What You Want." I'm not sure what it is, but something about Foster The People just pisses me off. I was a big supporter when I first heard their album Torches , but I feel like they got too big, too quick. Not sure what it is, because I still enjoy their music, but I somehow am looking forward to them failing. Cruel and unusual, I know. Check out their latest video if you wanna get pissed off too.
