We've shown you the best of the British festivals, we've told you where's going to be good, how it's going to sound and in some instances, whether you could turn the experience into a whole holiday, or even where you could pass some festival moments in a pool. The only thing that we can't prewarn you of is the weather, but the unpredictability is half of the fun! Right? So what could possibly beat a British festival? Well how about replacing that weather worry with a big ol' bottle of sunscreen? Or putting down that pie, mash and warm 7UP [...]
I’m completely adoring the new Cut Copy record. I wrote awhile ago about how much I love “Where I’m Going”, but there are so many other highlights – like the Men At Work-winking “Take Me Over”, the twinkling “Pharaohs and Pyramids”, and the 15-minute-long closing epic “Sun God”. My favorite song though, is still the mind-blowing opener “Need You Now”. Whenever I listen to it I feel like I could conquer the world or win an Olympic medal or something equally incredible – so its video, directed by Keith Schofield and released a few weeks ago, [...]
Let's face it: There are some bands that are relevant, and there are some bands that are not. It's unsteady footing, often times tough to predict. It may fluctuate depending on timing, talent, and what the world wants to hear, but one thing's for sure: Staying relevant in the music world is not an easy thing to do. Relevancy can come and go with the changing tide (today's James Blake could be last year's Passion Pit). Fortunately for us, we caught Cut Copy , who have remained relatively hot throughout their 10-year [...]
Lykke Li - 'I Follow Rivers' Lykke Li seems to like making videos in extreme temperatures and environments. On 'I Follow Rivers', she runs through an icy landscape and eventually makes out with an unhappy Adrien Brody-nosed man. Upon closer observation, perhaps there is some symbolism to this - as a YouTube commenter points out, seeing as Lykke Li is indeed dressed as the Grim Reaper, she represents the death that the man finally gives in to. Watch below. Cut Copy - 'Need You Now' [...]
Australian synthpop experts Cut Copy released the video for their latest single, “Need You Now”, last Thursday. To be honest, I wasn’t blown away by this track on my first listen, but since then it’s grown on me considerably. Maybe the goofiness of this video makes me hear the song with more sincerity in some sort of reverse-psychology way. Or something. Regardless, I need this song now, and probably for some time to come. mp3// Cut Copy - Need You Now (right-click)

What a weekend! Radiohead releases, my kids have a sleepover, I throw out my back trying to impress my kid and his friends with my cool Dr. J finger roll, and I completely miss Sunday's post. Oh, well! Radiohead's King of Limbs Released: World Goes Crazy Count me among the many Radiohead fan boys who purchased a digital download of Radiohead's King of Limbs last Friday. I've listened to it at least two dozen times. I like it, but I am [...]
Na última sexta-feira, Beth Ditto lançou o clipe de "I Wrote the Book" , primeiro single do EP solo da vocalista do The Gossip . A canção é uma homenagem ao clipe "Justify My Love" de Madonna . O clipe foi dirigido por Price James . Cut Copy lançou o primeiro clipe do novo disco: "Need You [...]
Cut Copy - "Need You Now" from stereogum on Vimeo . Cut Copy have recently released the video to "Need You Now ", their first single from their LP Zonoscope. The video is hilarious, I don't really understand why there are athletes in it. Have hipsters moved on from cats, making athletes the new trend? Haha.

Australian synthpop collective Cut Copy recently released their third LP Zonoscope . The albums first single “Need You Now” is now available has an official music video. Directed by Kevin Schofield.
Australian electro quartet Cut Copy have released one of our favorite records of the year already, and “ Need You Now ,” the tambourine-heavy, undulating first single from Zonoscope , now has a hilarious and incongruous video featuring lots of confused sportspeople cavorting and capering with mismatched memorabilia (and, eventually, Druid-caliber medieval weaponry!!!) in front of ample green-screen. It’s hysterical at times and endlessly re-watchable – that just might be because the song, in all its shimmering and shuffling glory, is endlessly re-listenable. Check it out: Continue reading: Cut Copy - [...]
The Aussie quartet released their third studio album, Zonoscope , on february 8th and now they have released the first visual from the album. "Need You Now" is the lead track on the new album and the video is as out there as the group's sound. Featuring a great diversity of athletes wielding medieval instruments of death is certainly an odd concept and is thoroughly unrelated to the songs content, but makes sense coming from the eccentric group from down under. Grab their new album and check out the video, you will not be disappointed.

Cut Copy have premiered the video for their new single ‘Need You Now’. The track is one of the better tunes on their recent album. A very 80’s, almost OMD, sound is prevalent throughout. If they had lead their PR come-back campaign with this song I would have been more excited. The video was directed by Keith Schofield. Cut Copy @ Beatport ‘Need You Now’ is taken [...]
Opinions are pretty mixed on Cut Copy's latest LP, Zonoscope . Since I have been interning at Terrorbird for the past week, I have heard the album about 20 times, and I am pretty convinced that it is straight up awesome. But I can't make up your mind for you, I can only steer you in the right direction. With that said, here are the latest visuals for "Need You Now". Employing the always quirky director Keith Schofield , this video takes things to a pretty interesting level. Zonoscope is out now via Modular . [...]
